I used to self medicate, now I am just white knuckling. I try radical acceptance mindfulness, yoga all sorts of stuff. Not much works, sometimes I just cant face the day. PRN not helping, covers up over my head, thank god for work at home days.

Have you talked to your psychiatrist about it?

Honestly my coping skills need some work. I take an fmla day instead of trying to push through when I should just go on into work

I don't cope well at all, all the DBT skills in the world can't seem to bring me out of my anxiety or depression...

I weaned off klonipin and it was hard. I felt awful while decreasing the dose and for about a week after. One thing that helped me was to remind myself that it won't last forever. Sounds patronizing, but it worked for me. I white knuckled the whole thing. I wish you a short withdrawal, and easy going! Blessings

To cope with anxiety and depression, I look forward to getting pain and muscle spasms from my lumbar fusion so I can take my percocet (oxycodone/acetaminophen) and/or Soma (carisoprodol). I loves me my percocet, but I fear I may become one of those people who becomes addicted to them. But y'know what? I don't care at this point because my job and financial situation sucks so bad. I just want it all to go away for even just a few hours. I try not to take them more than they are prescribed lest I run out and can't get a refill until the month passes. The DEA and FDA have cracked down; now you can only get a 30 days' supply.

Medication helps me enough so I can practice meditation, yoga, walking, and so on. And I white-knuckle it plenty, too.

My PRN isn't working either! Crappy situation for sure. I've been really anxious and jumpy since I haven't been sleeping. If its bed time I'll lay there and imagine my body going numb starting at my feet and moving up. I used to listen to guided meditation and that's where I got that from. And usually by the time I get to my head, I'm asleep. It works often... but not always. I have my pdoc appt on tues.

Edit: gabapentin works good for me with anxiety. It works more long term than a Benzo for me. Times like these I'll take two of my doses at once before bed instead of spread out in the day. That's what I've been doing lately and it helps calm me.
