I don’t like the way that I feel. I feel sedated or something. I have always been very gregarious, but now I’m very quiet and I don’t like it. Was I hypomanic? Am I chasing that? I take

Lamictal 400 mg
Wellbutrin 150 mg
Latuda 80 mg
Seroquel 150 mg
Ropinerole 2 mg
Vyvanse 70 mg
Tenex 2 mg.

What is the deal? Could I be on too many meds?

I am way out of my depth on the med discussion - I have no idea what the effects of each are, how they interact, and what dosages people normally take. From my experience, though, I was on an AD once, and it was the worst. I was totally apathetic, had NO energy for anything, and felt totally unlike myself. At least when I was depressed, I still felt something. Stopping the AD was a great decision for me, though it preceded several years of cycling before I found a routine that helped me to level out somewhat. Now I'm looking for an upgrade to my routine - when what you're doing isn't working for you, it's worth looking at what you might be able to change to get back to rights. Talk to your pdoc - I'm sure there are options you can explore.

It's the meds. They sedate you and make you not care about things.

I was on meds for 13+ years, and am no using amino acids and the mineral lithium orotate to control my bipolar 2. I can't begin to tell you how much better I feel, and how much more effectively my bipolar is controlled because I'm giving my brain what it needs to function.

I disagree. I am on several meds and I still have normal feelings. It is entirely possible that the meds cause some sedation, but you are not a health professional, you are not the OP's doctor, and you have no right to proclaim that medication is entirely at fault. Please stick to your own experience and stop telling others that your experience is the same for all of us.
Thanks for this!

I'll second these thoughts, very well said. There's a place for medication's necessity in this world, and to just claim everyone needs to eat right and take supplements is a disservice to the community. It's great that those routes have helped some people, but to make large claims without knowing anything about the individual's situation is dangerous.

find it hard to believe you could be sedated on 70mg of vyvanse, that's a good bit.

Y'all are right. I need to talk with my Pdoc about this. He's big on pharmacology anyway and I see him next week so I'm going to talk with him about it instead of trying to figure this out myself like a dummy. Thanks
