I'm so overwhelmed I have started cancelling appointments like crazy.. I am depressed with no motivation and no focus and the idea of going out every day to an appointment is horrible.. I don't even have the motivation to shower right now.. does anyone have any tips.. I was trying to give myself 2 days a week where I just stay home and relax but somehow I keep ending up with an appointment every single day of the week every week...

I've called my nurse/pdoc even though I was there yesterday.. they knew how depressed I am but didn't do anything except switch my abilify to zyprexa because the zyprexa works better for me.. they did nothing for depression, just said to wait it out until next week... I don't know if I can do that, I feel so awful.

I feel for you... your pdoc probably doesn't want to prescribe an antidepressant to lift you out because it may trigger mania and a different set of problems. Be kind to yourself, and give yourself time and patience to cycle out of this; cancel every appointment you can to reduce your stress load, get a lot of rest and be thankful for everything you've still got going for you: for example, you have no civic duty to cast a vote in the imminent American election between Scylla and Charybdis.
Thanks for this!

I wish I had advise but all you have is my deepest sympathy for what you are enduring right now. Stay safe and go right to the ER if things get worse. (((Hugs)))

I just started Modafinil. I am bipolar 2. on wellbutrin and lamictal Modafinil has lifted the black cloud by giving me energy and reducing the dark thoughts.
I agree with another post here...make sure you are taking that Lamictal to avoid any mania it might trigger...it didn't me and I have had Paxil induced mania b4. IMO you might want to simplify your cocktail. lotta drugs there...
Wellbutrin is good...Lamictal is great.....Modafinil is looking positive for me so far...only been a couple weeks......best of luck to you

Thanks everyone
My mood has started to lift after a few days on the higher dose of zyprexa and lower dose of abilify. I think it's a combination of the zyprexa and higher lamictal dose both starting to kick in. Hopefully this sticks, I felt stable yesterday and so far the same today.
