I've only had this once but it took a few days to re-adjust (only a few time zones). It was about the same as when the time changes for daylight savings.

Have you ever had a disagreement with your therapist?

Have only had a consult with 1 pdoc at this point. Did not agree with his approach (said I should manage my meds myself). Need less to say I have an appointment in August with a new pdoc.

Q. So a question nothing to do with BP, what's your favourite tv show/series/Netflix show?

My favorite Netflix show is Orange is the New Black. I got a kitten two weeks ago and named her Piper.

How long have you been with your pdoc?

Congrats on your kitten. I have 2 that I've had for almost 5 weeks. They are 13 weeks old today. They are so much fun.

14 years with my pdoc.

How long have you been with your therapist?

Thank BTR. Our kitten is almost 5 months old. They are a lot of fun but unfortunately, we got her after losing one of our older cats.

I've seen this therapist 7 years, ever since I moved back to the Midwest. I saw my therapist in Pennsylvania for 8 years before I moved.

What is your favorite comfort food when depressed?

I have to force myself to eat much. So I only eat a healthy meal.

Do you think BP/SZ is an ability, a disability or somehow a bit of both?

Alligator at the Taste of Chicago in the early 90's....I'm not adventurous.

What's the furthest you've travelled from home?

I'll answer the same question.........same answer except I have kittens. PC is also a great distraction for me.

Do you have an interest in or have you studied psychology? If so because of your diagnosis or separate from it?

I think I did for the most part, tho way too much peer pressure and back stabbing nasty girl crap at times. Loved the 80's music scene of the times, what made it more fun, all that alternative/punk/new wave etc out of Britain
First depression grade 12/13 tho. Not fun.

Q. What's favourite song when hypomanic/manic and go to song when depressed?

*hypo- I'll Come Crashing by A Giant Dog
*depressed-Hurt by Nine inch Nails

Too many times to count.

Do you go to other PC forums or just bipolar?

Q. I know typically people are Dx BP in 20's but any idea what % on PC received a later Dx say over 40?

I don't know about PC. I read that late onset bipolar is considered after age 50 and this happens in about 10% of cases. That's from the National Institiute on Health so probably won't find much else more accurate.

How old were you when you were diagnosed?

I was 29 when diagnosed.

Do you generally run early, on time, or late for activities?

Early to on time unless I am specifically picking my niece up from her babysitter in which case I am inevitably late. I always miss the same turn (which google maps doesn't remind me of) and so I always take longer than intended. I'm so embarrassed by this because it is so atypical of me.

Do you feel like you missed out on years of normal life/popular culture when you were ill?

Actually, quite the opposite. Because I was ill and didn't really know, I had the crazy wild side in my early 20s like many others. If I was paying more attention to my behavior, I probably would've never done anything crazy and would've been wondering "what if" around now. My bff also has the disorder and those were some of the best times of my life. It didn't all end well, but I wouldn't change it. I got some good stories!

Along those lines, do you regret your behaviors when hypo/manic?

Mostly because I usually am awful. I had one awesome summer when I was 21 and I don't regret that summer. It's a good memory before everything started to decline.

What is your favorite manic/hypomanic memory?
