Can you call your p and get an extra appointment? Or any safe person? Before taking a bunch of stuff, tell yourself that you can still do it in one hour. Go for a walk instead. Manage minute by minute.

I agree with this. Last week I was feeling really bad and felt as if I was slipping into a dark place. I decided to call my t and pdoc on Friday and was in my pdocs office by Monday afternoon.

Why don't you want to go into hospital? They may be able to give you medicine to make this feeling go away.

You need to see a doctor go as fast as you can, don't ruin it for yourself you have a long life ahead of you. think of what you would like to do later in your life.

I feel like I don't deserve anyone's effort like I am just a huge burden and waste of space and I should just go quietly. I want to cry but I can't for some reason. Everything is a mess.

Some other options in addition to calling 000...

Crisis support lines 24/7 (Some might not apply, but I didn't want to exclude any in case they do.)

Lifeline 13 11 14

Suicide Call Back Service 1300 659 467

Kids Helpline 1800 55 1800

MensLine Australia 1300 78 99 78

For current and former ADF members and their families
Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service 1800 011 046

All-hours Support Line 1800 628 036

Defence Family Helpline 1800 624 608

1800 IM SICK 1800 467 425

Visit Get Help | National Mental Health Commission to access the hyperlinks for the phone numbers and organization information.

You are NOT a burden or any such thing. And not thinking anyone or anything can help anymore is exactly what depression would say. It is lying to you.

Do reach out. Keep reaching out. Take it a minute at the time.

I would tell them to call someone. I feel like I am just weak though and maybe my problems are not worth the bother like I really don't want to make a fuss around me. I am sorry to even be bothering you all on here.

It's not a bother to us. You should take your own advice and call someone. To those who are sitting at the call centers and waiting to help, it's not a bother. Your problems aren't too small, that's just a depressed mood talking.
