Positive Things I've done today #5

Cleaned bathroom, washed some dishes, load of laundry in the dryer. Planning to dust and vacuum living room. On a roll today

Yay! Thats awesome, I wish I was doing those things. Good job

I ate healthfully and took almost 6000 steps- a record for me. Went to the museum with my youngest son and had lunch. Now I'm home fighting off a nap.

Got up early today, made breakfast, did all my morning hygiene stuff, took all my meds & vitamins & brushed my cat. Now I'm hanging out with my hubby watching it snow.

Woke up early, had breakfast, ran some errands, now doing my laundry. I feel accomplished today.

I'm getting my daughter from her boyfriend's and texting with her about what she wants from Walgreens since I'm going there before I pick her up.

Went to T, planned meals and did grocery shopping.

I have not managed to accomplish anything today. I rested? I made sure the cat didn't die of nicotine poisoning? I don't know...

Got up, showered and went to work....3 hours late but I went.

I am at an IOP now and they teach us to recall 3 positive things that have happened in the past 24 hours. Mine can always be:

- did not lock myself out of the apartment (this has been known to happen)
- did not lock myself out of the car (this has been known to happen)
- did not burn anything in the oven to the point of an alarm's beeping

I scheduled an oil change and am about to leave for it. Hopefully they will look at some of the weird things my 21 year old car has been doing recently...

Also:

- dental triple (brush+floss+Fluoride wash)
- cleaned the kitchenette, which included doing the dishes by hand
- cleaned a part of the bathroom
- cooked and ate breakfast
- had lots of liquid to prevent migraines (they are triggered by dehydration)
- took a shower and detangled my hair; wore a rented dress to the IOP; used perfume (it is a coping skill for me)
- colored for 30 mins (I have read that this produces the same effect as meditation, and I cannot meditate)
- participated at the IOP
- survived unpleasant side effects of combining a high dose of Geodon with a low dose of Zyprexa; will reduce Geodon to the FDA-approved max tonight

I did a load of laundry.

I cleaned my bedroom.

I went to T and got out of the house. Pulled myself out of a spiraling depression. Feel really good right now, finally, things make sense.

cleared out all the messages in my private message folders (it was getting a lot!)

ate breakfast

took out laundry

Got to work 2 hours late because my daughter's therapist held me hostage, but once I got to work, I was very productive. I spent a good chunk of my night reassuring a client who is feeling very lost right now, and sticking up for her to people who keep claiming "she's doing it for attention" which pisses me off beyond belief, especially since I know this person outside of the facility and she isn't like that at all. Somehow, with all this going in, I managed to avoid displaying favoritism, too, by carefully diverting her to another peer who understands and also knows her well. I got to know a couple of new clients. I made a new friend at the grocery store.

Went to boot camp at 6am and worked out pretty hard there. Watered the lawn (the sprinklers are broken so we're doing it manually for the time being). Made coffee, cleared the table and now sitting down to work.

I went to the mall and got in over 5,000 steps. That's half of 10,000 but its still a lot for me. Haven't made 10k yet.

I made an excellent dinner.

Got up early, sent out some pics & emails to extended family, did some laundry, cleaned up the kitchen, made some awesome soup & took a shower & washed my hair.

Was polite to my boss even though he was being a total jerk

Got up and out of the house.

Decided to stay with my parents at my T's urging as I am suicidal and may not be safe alone. Then I went for a long walk instead of staying in bed.
