Most the time, depends.

I make a lot of dark jokes. Depending on the tone - and if I "look" like I'm joking, others laugh too. Also I like messing with people, jk.

For me I think it is. Sometimes it feels good to have total geek out about something horrible. It's not like I really think it's funny. I just laugh about it and feel a tiny bit better.

I used smile when talking about people who recently died. Don't know why, couldn't help it.
Definately not because I was happy.

Yes, I do. It does seem to be a coping mechanism. When I was fifteen I told a friend my beloved dog had just died the day before and I couldn't stop smiling. She found it weird but I couldn't help it. I cried later on my own. There are many other examples of times I have done this. For me, I believe it is related to my PTSD.

I sometimes do. It's a form of being nervous about something.

Sometimes. I get down on myself because it's totally inappropriate, but sometimes it's all I can do not to laugh. I don't laugh at tragic events, just things like someone falling down or vomiting. I have also been known to snicker at funerals and during business meetings.

Too often actually lately.

Yes. I laugh out loud manically when I think of horrible things and people think I'm crazy. It's just my way with coping with the horrors of this world.

Ever since I was a kid, when something bad, or embarrassing would happen I'd grin. I still do that. Just grin and I can't help it. Its totally inappropriate.

No. I don't laugh when making a joke either. Just call me the crone curmudgeon

I think it's a huge defense mechanism in most of us. We see our bad behaviors and the guilt makes me hate my cruel jokes. But I still won't lie... my sense of humor is borderline disgusting. Maybe I do it to deflect off my own **** or maybe I'm just a sick ***. I'm guessing the later.

I hate cruelty jokes. I will not listen to them. If someone at my table at dinner, or whatever, starts a joke like that, I object and say, "I don't want to hear it." If they continue, I leave the table and come back later. My family, friends, and boyfriend know I will absolutely not listen to them (or tell t hem). Ditto racist or ethnic jokes. Or disability jokes!!!! The buck stops here -- if I don't listen and don't pass these things on, and other people would do the same, maybe the jokes would become obsolete.

I hate to admit this, but their have been times in the past where i've smiled (not laughed, just smiled)

if it's to do with me, I don't find it funny what so ever, but i'm talking about news stories

their was 1 story (I won't mention it here), I smiled about to begin with- but then when I finally saw the out come I was in tears.

I love disasters

no, I do

ever since I used to read theme park insider (about roler coaster crashes), I've been obsessed
