Been in latuda for quite a while. And I had this conversation with another friend from here. Do you think latuda helps you sleep or maybe helps regulate it? I just had a late dinner still anxious but took latuda with it now feeling sleepy.

For me Latuda didn't make me drowsy or help me sleep. I took it for about 4 months at doses up to 120mg a day. Over all that time I noticed no effect at all, didn't help with mania or depression and I noticed no difference in sleep or mood once I stopped it. Actually, I did get really teary and agitated when I stopped it cold turkey at 80mg so I went back on it and tapered. Tapering got rid of those withdrawal effects. It was useless for me. Others may have different experiences though.

Latude (at 120 mg) is useless to me. I called my pdoc about it today. It's not helping my manic episode and it has no effects on me whatsoever. I'm not going to have my insurance pay for such an expensive med if it has no benefit.

I think Latuda does help me with sleep. Ever since I've been on it, I'm easily getting 7-9 hours a night. Before that, I was averaging about 5-7. I scratched taking it at dinner long ago. I now take it about an hour before I want to sleep. Doesn't necessarily make me sleepy, but I think it does help me sleep. I just found that if I took it too early, I'd get restless if I didn't go to sleep within a certain window of time.

Yep, I take 120mg at night and it knocks me out within an hour. I take mine about 8:30-9:00

I thought Latuda was working for my depression, but it turned out it wasn't. I needed a higher dose than what I was on, but I couldn't tolerate the sedation. I was at 40mg. But I'm also a really small/thin person, and I can't really tolerate high doses of any med.

I have to take Latuda about 1-1.5 hrs before bedtime. If I take it earlier than that, it knocks me out before I'm ready to go to sleep. Like someone else said, there's definitely a component of being "restless" to go to bed.

I'm on 120mg a day. It doesn't seem to help me sleep, or regulate my sleep. It helps a little bit with psychotic symptoms, but I don't see a dramatic change there, either. Risperidone seemed to work better, but that drug has nasty side effects, and I had to discontinue it.

I have some wild dreams while taking Latuda.
It does help me sleep; yet, I also get restless earlier in the morning when I take it at bedtime.

My psychiatrist recently increased my dose of Latuda to 160 mg. I does make me sleepy about an hour after I take it. I have to go to bed or I end up falling asleep on the couch or in the recliner in front of the tv....

Same here. I fall asleep on the couch. Without Latuda, this never happens.

I take 40mg a day. It doesn't make me drowsy; in fact it winds me up. So I take it in the morning with breakfast.
