Hello everyone, I have been diagnosed bipolar 2 for many years now. However about two years ago I started experiencing severe fatigue . I thought it may be one of my meds so with the help of my doctor we titrated down on each of them one at a time. Nothing helped. Then I went for a sleep study and they said I had mild sleep apnea. I have been treated for that and I am still tired. I use caffeine And Adderall throughout the day to function. I have three kids and I just can't stop being a mom. I don't want to live my life this way. I hate depending on this amount of stimulants just to function. Does anyone think that the stimulants might actually be the problem? I know that sounds weird a stimulant making you tired... But I thought I would ask and see if anyone might know something or have some ideas. Id be most grateful...
My current meds: Adderall 30mg er x2 a day Welbutrin 450 mg Abilify 4mg Lexapro 15 mg Lamictal 100 mg |

I take stimulants for ADHD and to fight fatigue/brain fog from my normal medications. I see you take Wellbutrin, and there's a chance that is activating enough for you to forego the stimulants.
Have you tried eliminating the Adderall and caffeine on a given day to tell the difference they make? It's unlikely they're contributing to the fatigue.

you are on mostly activating meds
just curious? have you done extensive blood work,thyroid checked, complete physical assessment? If not I would start there first

I've done about every blood test the doc thought might be a possibility. All the basic tests have been done. Anyone else have any ideas?

I'm on adderall and bi polar meds. I don't feel as fatigued as I did once I started taking adderall.

I take many of the same meds including adderall and I crash hard at about 10-11 am after taking morning meds at 6 am. I can feel it coming on and take my next dose right away. it has a short ½ life and sometimes you need to let the doses overlap slightly. Otherwise I'm useless. Fog brained and scattered, distracted. What if you split the doses from 2x a day to more often but less mg.?
