I know this seems like a strange topic.
Please hear me out.

Two years ago, I was in a deep paralyzing depression. I'd rested on my bed a lot. Sat in a chair a lot. I did not get daily exercise. I'd only walked a bit around the house.

Due to the inactivity, I'd ended up with a blood clot in my leg and foot.
It can happen quickly.

Please make sure your body gets some additional movement, especially your legs and feet, which are more prone to clotting.

Self-care and prevention is important.

Right. I have a history of clots so I have to be extra vigilant. (I'm in bed now but I walked almost 7k steps this morning.)

Ok that's just scary. I think I might turn over a few more healthy leaves when I get back. Thanks for getting the word out.

I hope everyone understands:

It is very serious!

It's often misdiagnosed. One doc had told me I had broken my foot and gave me an air cast.
The next day, I was in the ER for a very long time for lots of tests.
I had to give myself shots in my abdomen for 10 days. Some people are admitted to the hospital.

Clots can move through the circulatory system and can end up anywhere, including the lungs, brain, etc.

Not only is it very serious, the tests involved and treatment are very expensive.

Prevention is best!
