You have to be ****ing kidding me!

I have to have this person from the county come over every night and watch me take my meds. If I don't let this person come they're going to call the police on me and potentially turn my 90 day hold into a 6 month hold!!!!

I can't believe this is happening again.

What is this hold? I've heard others talk about it, but I don't understand what it entails. Can you describe what the requirements and restrictions are? What happens if you don't do what they say? And who are "they"?

Sorry for all the questions, I'd just like to understand.

Is this related to the IOP program? Hope it doesn't turn out to badly but it sounds very inconvenient. If its not something you can avoid, can you find a way to look at it more in terms of them trying to help you get on a sustainable recovery footing?

I think it's related to my ninety day hold (or commitment, where I have to take my meds as doctor recommends, refrain from drinking, etc.).

This has happened to me because in my state after your 72 hour hold for trying to commit suicide you have to go to court, and then they put you on it.

I was on a six month commitment before because I had two suicide attempts, while on my 90 day hold, so they changed it to six months.

And now they have to watch you swallow some pills? That's crazy. Your tax dollars at work.

Wow. I remember another member going through the same thing after an attempt. Thank god my state doesn't have that law. Although I usually end up in IP for 5-7 days and let loose with no follow up at all. I'd be stressed AF if someone was coming around to monitor me though. Sorry you're going through this.

I still don't get being basically " grounded" after such an emotional hell that you overserve yourself some meds .

I think that BS !

Plus having someone come to you're home daily ??? Total waste of money ! Hope YOU don't have to pay for that , total waste of tax dollars.

I'm so sorry you go through this , I do agree you should explore the reasons you put yourself in situation where you self sabotage.

I'm glad you and your husband are okay , hope you can keep it this way

I'm sorry for the inconvience. How annoying. Like a previous poster said maybe you could look at it as a positive thing. I hope everything works out. Best wishes.

Maybe they see all this hassle as a deterrent to making another attempt? (Assuming it was just an attempt.)

What would it be other than an attempt? It certainly wasn't successful. Just curious what you meant.

A failed or aborted attempt, but you still have to go IP.
