My insight is getting a bit wonky. On the one hand, I can recognize my thoughts as the beginning of psychosis. Mainly because I've had the same problem before. But on the other hand, I believe that my universe has been replaced by another that looks similar to mine but is different. I need to follow the messages to figure out what to do next. My senses tell me this is true, so I trust them.

How long can I hang onto insight?? Does anyone have tips for retaining insight?

Reality checks. telling yourself you KNOW x isn't happening even if it feels like it. Don't question what you know.

I do what Miguel'smom suggested. Of course this is difficult and can't last forever. You need to meet with your pdoc.

It's great you have the insight to post this. Keep grounding yourself in reality as much as possible. With things other people can confirm is real like the couch you sit on and the furniture in your house. What can you see, touch, smell and taste. Stay focused on what you know and can be confirmed to be real. Have others reality check things for you if you need. And yes, get professional assessment ASAP. Maybe a med adjustment will help. Stay safe.
