I'm part of the Fill Crew at Canadian Tire...I put items on shelves. It's not glamorous but it keeps me moving and busy. I work part-time, between 24-32 hours a week. I'm also on disability.

Sit at home and mope

And when I'm not at home? Go to work and mope there

I work in software and apparently I now manage people and manage things, and I guess I also have 2 offices that I don't want. Full-time, unfortunately. But like scaredandconfused, it gives me something to do

I was a teacher for five years. Now I'm a teacher's aide. Less stress and gives me time to focus on my master's work. Haven't decided if I want to keep going with teaching or get into social work instead.

I'm a free-lance graphic designer but haven't chosen to work in a year. I'm really frustrated with my lack of motivation. I love to draw and illustrate. Anything creative.

Also, stay at home mom. Kids 21, 13 and 12.

I'm not working right now but I previously worked as a cashier. I've had too many jobs to count and never last very long at them. I'm working on getting disability.

I was a stay at home mom, raised my kids, worked for a couple of years with at-risk teens, worked for decades at a wonderful old cafe. Now I help my husband run an online book business. We've done that for ten years.

I'm a stay at home mom to a wonderful 5 year old daughter. We have a lot of fun. Many parks, going to the pool, coloring, reviewing letters, etc. Doing lots of things you do with kids. She's starting kindergarten in the fall. I'm going to have a lot of time to myself. I'm on disability right now too. I used to work at a salad bar. I'm also a writer.

I'm an admin assistant at a rehab. Mostly now actually, I manage money, my responsibilities have morphed, my stress levels and anxiety has risen.

Nothing against this job itself, but working is just getting to me again, I'm reaching "that point" and been trying to stave it off and avoid it for months.

So tired of waking up wishing I had died in my sleep instead of having to go to work, or wishing I will get into a terrible accident on my commute there...

I keep finding excuses to skip work and I'm legitimately sick wayyyy too often. Maybe they'll fire me and I can collect unemployment.

Wish I was a stay at home mom to my 13 y.o daughter and maybe did something mind numbingly dull, like data capturing from home, to earn some money and keep busy.

Sadly I don't see any options for that.

Who knows, maybe in the future,a bit of optimism never killed anyone.

professional coutch potato.

seriously, if I ever found myself on a quiz show or a guest on a programme, I would be the most boring person ever:
it would go something like.

host: so now we have emily ward with us. her last name is spelt the same as a hospital.

(laughs from the crowd)

host: so tell me emily what do you do?

me: oh well, mr host, i'm a coutch potato. I sit at home, eat, get fat, go to hospital and wonder about the point to life

host: okay, thanks for wasting our time... now on to a slightly more interesting guest

well it would go something like that

I am a student of a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Writing. To keep me afloat, on top of my disability payments, I work in retail 11 hours a week. Although right now I am IP and off work and skipped first week of semester due to my illness. Hoping to get back into study and work next week.
