Anyone dream about their bipolar disorder? I do, and lately I've had dreams where I realize I've not taken my meds for days or weeks. I'm not having withdrawal symptoms, but my mood/behavior is all over the place. Or, I'm feeling really good, feeling like myself again, FEELING again. I tell others in my dream that I'm not taking my meds any more, and they're really concerned for me, but I reassure them that I'm fine, and I'd rather live without meds.

I haven't had dreams about meds that I recall.
I think the truth is we'd all like to be doing just fine living without meds. We all experience conflicts about taking/not taking meds. I think it's possible you're recalling dream material concerning these conflicts. How are you doing these days? ![]() WC

I've not had dreams about meds that I can recall but I've had seriously disturbing dreams about my mental illness which are too traumatic to even think about, let alone write down. When I'm on new meds, my dreams (nightmares) have gotten worse which could be from meds or the fact that I was unwell which is why I was taking the new meds to begin with. The doctor said the meds likely caused the nightmares and they would diminish in time which they fortunately did....for now at least.
I hope these dreams aren't too traumatic. (((Hugs))) |

Yes, that's a tight space, especially when not living in harmony with one another, even for a short period. I hope life gets better for you, pronto. ![]() WC

I notice that I'll notice something in passing that is really bothering me or has me conflicted and I dream about it within a few days. Are you having any conflicting thoughts about taking your meds or about your diagnosis?

I take my meds, I go to therapy, I have done DBT, PTSD, and CBT classes, journaling, mood tracking, Mindfulness training...and I am still miserably unhappy, isolated and unable to work. I feel helpless and hopeless. My marriage is a joke. I live with a man who, if he is breathing, he's lying to me. He is 66 and has erectile dysfunction, but it's my fault we don't have a sex life, and it's my fault that he is sexting other women. I have been patient, understanding... he's been an absolute asshole. An asshole that I am financially dependent upon.

I'm sorry you're having such a tough time. I empathize with doing everything you can and are still helpless and hopeless with your depression and anxiety. I also empathize with your dying marriage. I've been there. You're not alone. Thinking of you.
