When I’m manic (euphoric) there has been quite a few episodes that I think I had delusions of jealousy, to the point of physically stalking both my husband and the people that I was positive he was having affairs with. After my manic episodes are over, I don’t believe it or really think about it as much. And I know in my heart he won’t cheat on me. However, the thoughts and feelings are so real to me at those times. Also had times when I thought he was sabatoging me and holding me back from promotions at work. Are any of these paranoid thoughts or delusions considered psychosis? And is it possible for manic episodes to last for 2-6 months at a time? How long do yours last?

It's very possible to have mania last that time. I went through one that lasted close to a year with delusions and paranoia. I'm sorry you suffer this. (((Hugs)))

Thank you ElsaMars. I was diagnosed bipolar 4 years ago. However I don't know what type. Recently some things have been brought to my attention about my mania. I never would have thought that I had delusions, and that the mania lasted that long. I was totally oblivious to it. I am finally accepting my diagnosis, and now trying to reflect on the past to help my future, and now I have many unanswered questions.

Thank you for your input ElsaMars. I was diagnosed 4 years ago, and finally fully accepted it. Now I am finding out so much about myself that I was totally oblivious to before. Kind of scary to realize that I had delusions and that my mania lasted that long. I guess it can only get better from here though.

A manic episode can last for months. I've seen my sister go through an episode that lasted almost a year. She left her husband got her own apartment and had tons of affairs, stayed out drinking until dawn almost every night. It was horrible. I feared for her life. I hope you can get some help and come down.
