I just pulled up info on MFP that says each one has 15 calories, so in the course of a day I am getting more than I realized; on single meal fast days I should log them. You're right about not worrying; it's not like this is some competition where I have to worry about being stripped of my medals for testing positive for LifeSavers.

I just recently gave up artificial sweeteners. Sometimes I may still have some when there is little choice but not on a regular basis. besides, the regular ones are free at my office...

I do circadian fasting daily. I change it up but this week I have done 18 hours fasting, 6 hours I may eat. I just listen to my body. If I am hungry I eat.

Me too for most things, they are too sweet and fool the body into expecting carbs then not. But for simple things like mints I am willing to bend that rule.

I'm starting to get hungry but I am just ignoring it and drinking tons of water. I wonder if there is a point you can reach when your hunger goes away. I stopped eating sugar and carbs 2 months ago, so that is helping with the cravings but I'm still hungry.

I hear there is a breakthrough point where it gets easier. I know that the 24 hour fast got a lot easier after I did it a couple of times.

I think it is kind of like running where there is a tipping point - not everyone who can run a mile non stop can run two miles non stop but nearly anyone who can run five miles non stop can run ten (even if they think they can't). With running it's breaking through the pain to discover a whole new universe of pain. I used to run 5+ miles 2 or 3 times a week. Then I tore up my knees and had surgery...

I changed my mind about extending today's fast. I would be doing it for the extra weight loss, not for cleansing. I will eat low cal tonight, but I will eat. I don't want to get into disorder territory (if I haven't already). Besides, I had more calories from Lifesavers than I realized...

It's almost the end of day 2 and I am feeling pretty good. Had a few moments of being hungry but I pushed through. I do miss my diet soda though!

Depending on how I feel tomorrow, I might try for 5 days instead of 3.

Fasting puts me at risk for a Anorexic episode .. But I will say this ...

Lots of psych meds only work correctly with eating 350 calories.... Just "food" for thought. lol

I had zeldox (geodon) and latuda and had to eat with them but I don't take any meds now that I need to eat with. So all is good.

I had an eating disorder in high school but that was 20 years ago. I still don't have a great relationship with food.
