Lamictal Withdrawal

I found an article that lists Lamictal withdrawal symptoms. After only a few days I have a few of them. Migraine-like headaches. Nausea dizziness.. Achey muscles tiredness. Its a good list. Check it out.

What was your dose and how fast did you go down? Besides the side effects, do you feel any difference in the way you feel?

I was at 75 mg and I quit cold turkey. P doc didnt say to taper- just to stop it. I feel terrible. One of these side effects ok but all at once. On top of it all my cpap broke and i cant sleep without it. If they dont fix it i dont know what Ill do.

75mg isn't very high so that's why you were able to quit cold turkey. 300+ is standard and requires tapering off. I was just curious because I may ask my pdoc to lower the dose. Dullness of the mind and bad memory are getting to be too much of a problem for me and it's not doing anything for my depression.

I'm sorry you had bad side effects and I hope they fix your cpap quickly.

So nobody is helping me for tonight. They all say maybe tomorrow morning. I dont think i can make it all night not breathing!

I'm really sorry to hear that, Moose. I don't think any pdoc would taper off lamictal if they thought it was causing a rash. I think the protocol in that case is to stop immediately. How is your rash doing?

If you cannot breathe well and your doctor cannot help you, please go to the ER! Breathing is a critical function, Moose!

I can breathe all night as long as im awake.. So i either stay up or wake up every 15 seconds from not breathing.

Do you think you can physically stay awake all night ?

No . maybe in the ER. But my daughter temp fixed it! Seems the cord connection is bad -as far as I can tell.
But its running now. :-)

Ive been on the phone all day. Seems the place ive been with doesnt want to work with me. My fix or replace warrantee is expired. I have to get a new place to go to but i have to fill out a release for my info first. This is all crazy.

My CPAP dying is one of my nightmares. I have had this unit a long time. I would have to dig around for the paperwork to find the pressure prescription, which might need an update. I am so conditioned to it that it would be hard to sleep without it, though I have fallen asleep without it just napping. I have not been tested weighing as little as I do now though. I am around 170, still losing but probably won't go below 160 (maybe a little, just to see it on the scale ). My previous tests were at around 200 and around 185 and came out about the same, so it may not be weight related.

Today and yestetday I felt pangs of depression which is very unusual for me. Also my thought patterns were jumbled- lots of "doom" thoughtsand jumbled thoughts and I can't remember what I'm supposed to be doing. Hard when youre trying to negotiate all that cpap paperwork!
