I had one in the bath tub today. I've only had one another time in my life. I had to get out of the bath tub.

I hope it doesn't happen again. How do you deal with yours if you have them?

I'm presently in a high panic mode though not having a panic attack for some potentially very scary news I just got that I can't discuss. I'm telling myself it hasn't happened yet and to be positive.
When dealing with panic attacks, I usually try to talk my own way down or out or at least distract myself by thinking about something else.
Right now I don't know what to think. I'm very afraid for these people that I love.

Did you know that benzos are something our bodies like more than our brains so the body sends out the panic feelings to make you take another?
Thanks for this!

It's called a "benzo trap." All doctors know about it. Google will be your friend

There’s a load of “ articles ” but I don’t see a trusted study, from John Hopkins or Mayo Clinic etc but that’s okay

My Pdoc is perfectly fine with my being on Xanax.

That's fine. A lot of people don't know about it and get stuck in the loop. When I'm absolutely about to die from panic, I'll use some kava tea or extract.
I also meditate to help prevent panic

Thanks you guys. I felt like I was gonna drown when I went under to rinse off. I've had slight ones in the bath tub before too. It sucks bc I can't stand long enough for a shower bc of my back and now my knee. A shower chair might work tho...

Big hugs to you guys that suffer from them all the time!

A shower chair is a great idea.

Please be careful, Rose.

Last Friday night I had a panic attack while driving down the freeway. I had forgotten my xanax. I pulled off onto the shoulder and switched places with my fiance. His license is revoked due to a dwi before I met him.

We headed down the freeway and were driving with the speed of traffic when the blue lights came on behind us. He got a ticket but thankfully, not arrested.

I went to my doctor Monday morning and he wrote me a letter about treating me for panic attacks and that I had had one Friday night and was without my meds. We saw an attorney yesterday and he said he's going to try for a prayer for judgement.

My guy thought he might have had to do jail time without that letter.

Yes, xanax is my friend' no rebound; no addiction

I'm sorry you had one Rose. I too meditate and practice mindfulness...when I remember to!

I'm doing ok. Thanks for asking. my sister lisa is finally back in Eugene. She's going to see a dr tomorrow. But it's so hard bc she doesn't see that anything is wrong.

I'm really worried about that panic attack. I already take 2 mgs of lorazapam a night for sleep. My psych nurse is against them and won't give anymore. Just hope when I take a bath next, I'll be ok.

Thanks so much wc for caring.
