I’m not getting enough sleep. This daylight savings time change has me screwed up.

It’s been sunny here too. I’m a little concerned about comments I’ve seen here about springtime triggering an upswing in mood, so I’m keeping an eye on my sleep patterns for indications of any issues.

How is your sleep?

There are these Indian people down the hallway who cook curry dishes all the time and they open their apartment door "for fresh air". Well, that gets in the hallway. Then their kids sometimes eat their curry dishes in the hallway, and they run up and down for the hell of it. Then they yank on people's door handles because they think it's funny. So everything smells like curry and sounds like a herd of wildebeests.

I don't know why or how the hell these kids are up at 11pm. They're like 7 or 8. I think they're homeschooled.

But yeah, you can figure how well I sleep.

I require a sleeping pill, alcoholic beverages or cannabis to sleep mostly through the night. Unassisted I have panic attacks and wake up through out the night.

My sleep usually needs some help. I have "sleep anxiety" from C-PTSD. During the best times, I need help with sleep.

I am additionally challenged since the time change. I have not yet adjusted.
There is a lot more light here lately! It has an effect upon me. My sleep is more broken up in the middle of the night.

I am having some luck with temazepam. I take 15 mg and bedtime and another 15 mg. if I awaken and cannot sleep. I always note the time of a second dose, so I allow myself a full 7 hours before I drive, etc.

I have tried all kinds of sleep remedies for a lifetime.
There is zero chance of sleep if I don't feel I am in a totally safe environment, even with sleep meds. I am too PTSD'd out. I slept well when I had my German Shepherds. (With sleep meds, too.)

Wow, Blue!
I'd lose it. I'd have to talk with the parents.

Sleep has been an issue with the time change. Either I sleep too much or not enough. It's been rough trying to keep up with my activities this week. Motivation = 0.

4 hours a night if I'm lucky, the weed doesn't even relax me anymore, I need oxy to go back to not wanting to die instead of sleeping,

I should get a bit more sleep. I get about 6 hours a night. Seroquel knocks me out pretty reliably unless I am manic.

I'm taking a low dose of Seroquel to help with sleep, which it does. But I always awaken before dawn (regardless of what time I go to bed) and get up. I stay up for an hour or 2, then go back and sleep for another hour or so. I never really feel rested, my energy is low, and I feel awfully tired every day. I would like one day in which I could just stay in bed and sleep all day and all night. I feel it would be healing for me.

I haven't a clue what my sleep would be like without my 450 mg Seroquel XR, a medication I've taken for several years. I can say that on the rare occasions I forget to take my evening medications I can't fall asleep. In the end I remember late at night because I pretty much say "Hmm, I guess I forgot my meds since I'm not at all tired at 12 am." Or, I am starting to have what feels like a nervous breakdown. Then I take it extremely late and can't fall asleep until 3 am. If I'm experiencing the "breakdown", I take 1 mg of Ativan on top of my evening medications and that helps. Really, it is important for me to take my evening meds at 7 pm and fall asleep by 11 pm for me to rest well and get up by 6:45 am. That's around an 8 hour sleep.

But despite my Seroquel XR and other evening meds my sleep can still vary based on various factors, like time of year, stress levels, moods, excitement, etc.

I had been depressed for several weeks up until maybe 2 weeks ago so I had a harder time getting up in the morning. These last couple weeks my mood has been mixed, but now seems to be rising in a more pleasurable way. My meds still help me go to sleep, but sometimes I stay up later. Either way, lately I've been waking up several times in the wee early hours, sometimes feeling awake enough at 3 am to get up and do something, but I don't allow myself to do that. I try hard to go back to sleep again. But like this morning, it is Sunday and I woke up for the fourth time at 5 am and couldn't get back to sleep.

I've had several days I've been having a little difficulty getting to sleep. Hoping it doesn't continue or turn into something.

I've been sleeping 3-4 hours a night for months. I doubled my sleep meds last week, and I did get a few longer sleeps, but felt hungover, and too drugged up to do much the next day. It's getting me really down.

I sleep from 6-9 hours. It depends on my mood and my body temperature, mostly. Also if my husband can sneak out of the bedroom, as he wakes up even earlier than I do and ends up napping in the basement.
