My anxiety and panic attacks are out of control. So I'm asking you guys if you've tried it.

It is difficult to start, but now I really like it. I take mine for anger and outbursts though.
Thanks for this!

i only take mine for agitation. its not something i usually need, thank goodness. its...OK. a little more mind-numbing than Klonopin, not as bad as having to increase the tranquilizer/antipsychotic or mood stabilizer.

i hope it helps.
Thanks for this!

I love it. It is very relaxing. It really helps anxiety.

I had a back, knee, and foot injury and was given Vicodin a couple of years ago. I think gabapentin is more pleasant than Vicodin.

Gabapentin is not addictive, but it can be abused for the light “buzz” so take only as directed (I always way this because someone will say they had trouble with it, but I don’t at all).
Thanks for this!

I have not, but my mom takes it for neuropathy. It makes her very tired.

I've been on it for years. 400mg three times a day. Works great--I can feel the calmness. I started on 100mg and worked my way up.

My husband was on 100mg and it made him really groggy. So YMMV.

It did give me a buzz type feeling and I could not handle it. So I quit taking it.
Best of luck.

I took it for my Fibromyalgia for a couple years, quit it cold turkey and realized it had been doing nothing..

Many here use it for anxiety and it helps . Hit or miss , Give it a whril.

It helps with anxiety. Sometimes I take it with a xanax if anxiety is real bad and it really helps then.

Has helped me a great deal with anxiety. It doesn’t help if I’m on full blown panic attack mode but thankfully haven’t had one since last year (iop grounding skills has helped a lot)

I borrow klonopin (I know I should not, spare me please), but I find that it knocks me down to where I need to be when my 300 x 3 gaba does not. So for me the K is way better than gaba.

It is so interesting to me how everyone's experiences with medication vary so widely.

I've taken Klonopin for many years and was recently prescribed Gabapentin. Too early to tell if it's helping yet.

when i took gabapentin w/ Klonopin, it helped boost the klonopin a bit. good thing, too...i developed tolerance to Klonopin relatively quickly, so the gabapentin helped delay another dosage increase. and now...

no more "Mother's Little Helpers" for me, lol. I think Klonopin is more effective for anxiety, agitation, but over the long haul...gabapentin never caused depression like Klonopin did (For me), nor was tapering ever an ordeal, either.

I take mine if I am feeling anxious though it was prescribed originally for sleep. I take 900MG to go to sleep and just 300mg if I am anxious. I have been feeling depressed lately so the Gab is for panic attacks if I feel anxiety coming on.

I like it alot. I found that it helps with my joint pains and migraines as well. Jut be careful after taking it for a while you can develop a high that can almost mimic mania.
Thanks for this!
