Now seriously. The only thing I'm missing is the contact with my two elder children. The girl is half *** right now, because I wanted to punch her brother.
I couldn't. He ran faster.

He deserved. I can't take the f word directed at me. Let alone from the mouth of one of my children.

Other than that, my life is perfect in every aspect.
So I'm very grateful to the Superior Force.

I am grateful for my doctor who is both a psychiatrist and a therapist.

I am grateful for the sun when it is windy and not too hot.

I am grateful for being endowed with a sense of humor, not that it is accessible to me at all times, but when it is, it is such a blessing.

I am grateful that I have a grandmother who is willing to help me live financially while looking for a job that will help me be more stable than teaching did. She is also very supportive emotionally. She was always there for us when my mom couldn’t be and she still is.

Grateful for my two sisters In law and my brother. They are so understanding of me and always willing to help when things get rough. One holds my meds while the other “babysits” me when I get actively suicidal. I’m lucky.

I’m also grateful for my wonderful boyfriend. We’ve only been dating for a couple of months but he didn’t take off running when I was hospitalized in April for suicidal thoughts and behaviors. He just supported me when I needed it, and continues to support me. We don’t see each other too often because of different work schedules but we make it work.

What a blessing to have such a grandmother, relatives, and BF! Indeed you are lucky. As I have read one some flyer directed at F&F, suicidality is normal in BP in a sense that it is statistically frequent, so to have people who are not put off by it and are not sent off running in panic, but instead are supportive, is a wonderful thing.

I am grateful for my ability to summarize and see specific examples of general principles.

I am grateful for my girlfriend L., who will take me swimming tomorrow.

I am grateful for my former report Maria, who will take me out to lunch tomorrow.

Feeling very lucky.

Grateful that daughter's boyfriend made dinner last night. It was a HUGE hamburger but it tasted great.

Grateful we have money to pay bills and buy groceries.

Grateful these noise-cancelling headphones work as my daughter and her friend are marathoning Supernatural.

This is so important and so often forgotten by those who have not lived through the times when they did not have money for necessities.

- I am grateful for Gwynnie Bee, the online clothing rental company, that allows me to be beautiful even though I now weigh - due to meds - 250 lbs. In the past this number would have horrified me, but now I have beautiful dresses - yes, dresses, with a waistline - and my friend Maria who took me out to lunch today said that I look great. The dress is blue, green and white, with a keyhole detail - what larger women usually have plenty of that is considered a good thing is a bust .

- I am grateful for the woman who initially told me of the certification that now allows me to be in demand for teaching classes; that woman did not hire me - I did not realize that I was severely depressed and my cognitive abilities were temporarily gone and my eyes looked dejected - but she gave me such a valuable tip.

- I am grateful for perfume. Such a pick me up, you know...

I’m grateful for modern medicine and antibiotics. My son was so sick from strep throat yesterday and today he is happy as a clam.

Funny when I just started reading and saw that Rain was a name, I figured the person with such a name must be gender-fluid. Thank you for the post!

This is so good. Does he know what helped him and why he needs to keep taking the medicine? How old is he? Can you explain to him that if he does not take the full course of treatment, bacteria will grow resistant and other people, or he next time, may not be helped so fast?

Funny - just yesterday I was feeling grateful for a clear plastic box with a silicone cover that I use to store German Rye bread - I buy vacuum-sealed 500 g packs of sliced bread from Amazon, but once opened, the bread can and does spoil fast because it contains no preservatives, so it has to be refrigerated, and at the Container Store I found a box that is an exact fit - a little bigger as to be roomy, but not too big as to waste refrigerator space. And I felt grateful for having the box, and many other boxes and glass containers that fit just right and allow me to save money, buying items in quantity.

Yes I explained he had to take it for the next seven days even though he’s feeling better. He’s good with it. It doesn’t taste bad apparently lol.

Today I’m grateful for my son having friends. He had a blast at his friend birthday party. I didn’t have many friends growing up so I’m glad he’s happy.

I am grateful that I am still alive.

When I was a teenager, for some reason I did not think I would make it past my high school graduation. Actually, I was wondering if it would happen at all. This was a feeling instead of a thought. I am not saying this because I had poor grades and would flunk out. I am not saying this because I was suicidal. I did not think I would be killed somehow. I just had this feeling that life would just end somehow. There was no logic or rational to this. It is just how I felt.

As probably true with many, I was a bit reckless. My life was in real danger three specific times. One time not of my making. I am very lucky that I lived through those times and ended up making it as far as having a daughter. I am also part of her mother’s family now. I think this is what was missing in my life for a great many years. I am very fortunate. Now I just do not know what is going to happen next.
Thanks for this!

- I am grateful for containers - glass containers, sturdy high quality plastic containers, metal containers with silicone lids. They make my life so much better - more predictable, more organized, and more pleasant. Thanks Fharraige for the idea!

- I am grateful for pen and paper supplies. It is so pleasant to take a break from the keyboard and write by hand.

- I am grateful for cool NoCal nights. It was too hot for me during the day, but it is never hot at night, unlike in Texas, where I lived before. In Texas, 5 months on non-stop heat. No respite, day or night.

I'm grateful for air conditioning, although it's not working well in this house.
I'm grateful that the cats are comfortable enough to take naps.
I'm grateful to see my dentist tomorrow. The dental hygienists, not so much. (I shouldn't talk--daughter's boyfriend's mother is one as well.)
Thanks for this!
