I've having huge anxiety on/off last couple days. had it bad when I woke up yesterday, I don't remember it like this in years. Pretty much lasted the whole day, took prn and slept awhile and it did settle down, then came back later. It's just kind of a generalized thing but then some paranoia cia type stuff, people watching me, breaking into my computer etc. Today has been better till last couple hours. I had a really good nap in early evening, probably 2 hours, didn't really intend to take it but laid down and went out. Felt great when I woke up, kinda like I was on a drug. Just a nice buzz like feeling. Then it came back, same ****. paranoia, etc feel really restless. was hoping to be in bed by now but there's no way. Took seroquel a couple hours ago, have others to take before bed but at moment I feel like I'm going to explode. DX is bipolar one. I've been doing pretty well for a few months. some cycling but not bad. this has really caught me off guard.

Have you told your psychiatrist/doctor/psychiatric nurse about this? I think that person really ought to know because it sounds serious and maybe you need a medication change. I also recommend that if you have a therapist to tell your therapist because medication NEVER works 100% of the time. You need backup coping mechanisms to help and professionals can teach you those coping mechanisms.

Sorry I don't have any valuable advice, but that's what I can suggest--talking to your mental health team.

I agree that you should talk to your pdoc ASAP. Maybe you need a med change or something more for anxiety. Are you diagnosed with panic disorder as well? What are you on right now? How much Seroquel do you take? Is there anything happening in your life lately that is making you worried or anxious, having problems with relationships? Sometimes, my panic attacks have a root cause and other times not. I had some dreadful ones lasting hours a few weeks ago, but thankfully, I haven't had one of those in awhile now.

Unfortunately, cycling is part of the territory with bipolar, but I really do think you should talk to your doctor about this. Also, do you have a therapist to work with you on these issues?
