What's the last thing you learned?

What’s the very last thing you bought?

the store I use is very expensive anyway

what was the last thing you tried that was new (food, activity, what ever), and how did you find it?

I bought a 3rd electronic piano.
This one has illuminated keyboard, indicating what key to press with the music.
It sounds the best of the three.

I'm a frustrated musician.
I have a trumpet, a Fender Strato, a flute, a conga drum, timbales, castanuelas, claves, tamborine, and, of course, the three pianos.
I would give an eye to be able to play the riff from Smoke in the Water. (Deep Purple). To no avail.

I also have three karaoke machines. There I'm a little better.
I used to sing in a neighborhood band. Countertenor, they say.
But I want to play. Not to sing.
I've been at center stage during my life, out of need, more times that I want to remember.
I want to do a solo once in a while, and remain in the background the rest of the time.
Some day. Some sweet day.

I've seen people playing beautiful music with a wooden wine box and sticks.
So is not the instrument. But the player.

Anyway, talking 'bout music, what's your favorite instrument?.

Favourite instrument is guitar.

To answer raging vortex’s question, last thing I tried that was new was my new job that I started in the fall, I love it!

Q. Have you ever had sleep paralysis? What did it feel like to you?

not sleep paralysis, but one thing I have had is the feeling of falling when you're not actually falling. I imagine that sleep paralysis is very scary

what is one thing in your life that is currently causing you stress

My mom is healing from a fall right now. As much as I love her, she is overly demanding and unreasonable. Nothing is good enough or even enough. It’s very stressful.

What is one thing that brings you joy?

I've had the fortune of traveling many places in my life. My past wanderlust and lifestyle (no kids) allowed that. Traveling was a high priority for my husband and me, at the expense of some things that are high priority to others. Really, I don't really have a place in mind right now. I know the likely major trip we'll make next is to the Languedoc region of France. That'll be more to look for possible places to live than vacation. Both my husband and I have been to France many times in the past, though I've never personally been to the Languedoc region.

What things are high priority to you beyond basic necessities of life?

the first thing that comes to my mind is funeral arangements
death could happen anytime, especially for me, who doesn't really want to be here. in my head I've planned it and know what I want, I just havon't told anyone official yet

beyond that,, making sure that I do what I want to do when I'm alive and to find ways to complete everything
for my mother to accept me before she dies (I don't really see that happening, she tells everyone I'm all ready dead), but still it would be nice to make peace with her before it's too late.

everyone I talk to online. honestly I think i'd be nothing if it wasn't for forums like this or all you amazing people. the day I can't use a computer for what ever reason, will be the end of life for me.

are most of your friends male, female, or a mix

female.

I don't like mixing with males. I think it's mainly because a lot of my abuse was male related (and I know not all males are abusive,) but it's hard to trust males more than it is females.

plus I think females are more likely to understand my problems (not only because I'm female, females are more understanding anyway.)

would you ever want to own a parot/ budgie/ other bird?

Yeah! I really want a rubino bourke parakeet (the pink/yellow ones). I also used to have three chickens growing up, I loved them.

What's something that makes you happy?

Money. Lots of it. More than I can spend. And I do spend a lot.
I'm materialistic, monetary and interested.

Are you spiritual?.

being on this forum is my absolute highlight of the day

just seeing people reply and understand, or even interact with you- it's all you really need.
question:

do you like physical contact? (such as hugs). if yes- how much or little do you think is enough

It depends who is hugging me. Not many people are allowed.

Do you wear a medic alert?

No. I do have a list of my medication on my phone though. Not sure I need a bracelet. I am allergic to amoxicillin but it doesn't kill me, just gives me hives.

Well, I would say no, but if I eat a very large amount of scallops, especially, and other shell fish, I do get little blisters on my face close to my mouth. That really only seems to happen when I've gone haywire eating them in places like Maine or Nova Scotia. It doesn't happen when I eat these in moderation. My mother was told by a child allergist that when I was a little girl I was allergic to chocolate and peanuts. These foods used to cause an itchy rash behind my leg and arm. Luckily I outgrew that.

What things did you achieve (or were good things that happened to you) last year?

I lost 30 lbs while on clozapine. I exercised until I stopped accidentally. Gotta start again after I get through this week. I stayed fairly stable and the one time I went way up I caught it and was able to stop it with a 4 day pulse of my clozapine dose; otherwise my AP dose was the same all year.

(stealing this from someone weeks ago): how many windows do you have open on your computer right now?

A bunch. Vitamins D, B complex, B12, and a multivitamin and magnesium.

Do you take any meds to counter the effects of your psych meds?
