Why is everything in my life so difficult. Just doing everyday tasks can be difficult for me. I can't even make a decision like "normal" people can. My moods are difficult to deal with everyday. It gets too much at times that I just sit and cry. I'm 51 years old and I just want to be able to enjoy life like other people do.

Do you have enough support in your day to day life? Do you have a couneslor? That can help quite a bit.

Things are harder when you have a mental illness, that is for sure. Its ok to feel that sometimes I think- that life is kind of unfair- because it can be.

Its hard when people seem to just be able to choose their moodd... when you just cant. I understand that. It can make you feel sort of helpless.

But maybe... try to do something simple that will help whenever you feel like this. Make one small plan to do something that can help you in the future. It might make you feel less powerless id you feel like- even if the thing is small- its something you have a little control over.

Anyways. A hug for you. I hope that things just get easier for you instead of harder. Talk to your therapist and Pdoc if you have them and let them know how you are feeling. They should be able to really undersfand and hopefully help

Thank you for your response. You are right. I do need support and I don't have any. I'm glad I found this online support group. I can go through about 3-5 different mood swings within one day, I guess that's the price I pay living with Bipolar Depression. It just makes everyday so difficult. I can't handle stress, that just makes things even worse for me. Thank you for listening

Just try to remember... you arent in this alone. Hugs for you.

And yes. It might be a good idea to get in contact with some supports. Medication can also be an option that helps control the worst feelings. But thats something definitely- definitely- to seek a professional out about. You deserve to have someone who really is good at helping people figure these things oit focusing on helping YOU feel better. Because no one deserves to feel lousy all the time

I also live with Bipolar Depression. I have had many days like those you describe here. It can be a very rough road.

I have only recently found a med combination that seems to work for me, or so I am hoping. I hope you continue to work with your pdoc on meds. I also hope you have access to a therapist?

Support of any kind can be very helpful. I hope you find people around you willing to lend you support.

I hope to see you around!

Taking medications by trial and error take so long to work, that's if they even do work. I'm tired of trying meds that don't work and then we have to wait for at least 6-8 weeks to see if they even work or not and if they don't then onto another. I'm feeling so disheartened and depressed. I'm 51 years old now and the only thing keeping me alive is my dog, Rosie. I love her more than anything. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be here.

Yes, finding the most helpful meds can take painfully long. It can be very disheartening, for sure! So glad you have Rosie! I used to have a Border Collie named Rosie. What breed is your Rosie?

Our pets/companion animals/service animals are so very important to us!

Keep reaching out!

Rosie is a hound and Australian Shepherd mix. She is a rescue from a kill shelter. I always say we rescued each other. You are right Wild Coyote, our fur companions are so important in our lives. Mine is actually saving my life.
She knows how I'm feeling all the time. She's very in tuned into me and will kiss me when I'm crying. She is so sweet.

I'm so sorry you're hurting so much, tmg4me Yes, it can be hard to deal with certain things if you're struggling with MI. But it's not your fault this is happening. You didn't ask for it. I think it means that you are a VERY strong person - even though it's hard, you're still fighting and doing your best! Be proud of yourself for that. Please don't give up. You've got this. I'm glad your pets are helping at least. I hope you'll be able to find the right meds combination for you. Keep trying! I know that things seems pretty bad right now, but trust me when I say that they can get better. Just keep doing your best to cope with it, like you're already doing. We're here for you if you need it. We'll listen to what you have to say. We care about you. Keep writing here if it helps. We'll always be here to support you. I'm here for you as well. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you. Sending many hugs to you

I am so glad you have Rosie... and she has you!

My last dog was a German Shepherd service animal. She has passed on (cancer) now. I still miss her every day. We'd had an incredibly strong bond. I hope to have another when I move.

I hope you and Rosie have a good week.
