I feel so much more level now, so I am going to try and concentrate more on getting some reading done. because of my recent mixed states, depression and anxiety, I've been putting off reading for a while. I am going to finally finish "The Obsidian Chamber" by Preston and Child. Then I am going to start the new trio of Vampire Chronicle books by Anne Rice starting with "Prince Lestat" afterwards it's on to some graphic novels and comic books. yeah, I'm a geek.

Shady characters by Keith Houston. It's about the origins and evolution of punctuation marks. Totally a nerd read but super interesting!

I'm reading Lost at Sea by Jon Ronson. I've actually read it before but it's my favourite book. Nonfiction, short stories about a lot of different topics. But the general theme is that they're stories that highlight the weird, dark and usually funny side of human nature. I love it because it keeps my interest and because they're short so I don't have to follow a long complicated plot when I'm having trouble concentrating.

That sounds rather direct and no nonsense. Interesting. How is it so far?

Harry Hole series by Norwegian writer Jo Nesbø. Detectives. I love being immersed in a book and not thing about other things.

I just finished a Star Wars graphic novel called The Force Unleashed II. I'm a SW dork. now I'm on to "The Bipolar II Disorder Handbook" by Stephanie Roberts.

So far it is very direct. They give specific scenarios that you may encounter and explore feelings you may have and why you might have those specific feelings and how to let them go if they are negative.

My concentration is stuffed but I am trying to get back into reading. I keep changing books though. Right now I am trying to read, "Postcards from the Edge" by Carrie Fisher, Homer's "The Illiad" (sorry can't spell it), "The Time Traveller's Wife", and something by Voltaire. I find switching books helps me read more, which is still not much.

Not really a book, lately, but I've been interested in reading articles on comedic styles and certain comedians. I recently bought a biography "Robin" about Robin Williams. I leafed through it and it wasn't what I was hoping it would be.

My manuscript. It's due at the publisher's in 4 hours. I'm taking a break. Who needs sleep. It's so overrated.

The Bible. I spewed a lot of metaphysical and religious speak when I was manic. My brain was really focused on it and royally screwed up. My brother is very religious and encouraged me to take a fresh look at my faith now that I am stable. I promised him I would and I started with re-reading the New Testament. It has been a slow go, but a good adventure so far. He was recently diagnosed with cancer and we've been connecting much more lately. We've been able to discuss scripture and I've really enjoyed our chats. He listens to me with an open mind and I am reconsidering my positions on many fronts. I guess I'll revisit the Old Testament when I'm finished.
