I hear you about trucks and SUV’s.

We bought a used Nissan Ultima and it’s by far the best used car I have ever owned it’s got a much larger trunk than I thought possible in a 4 door sedan. My husband just keeps up with general maintenance. I highly recommend them.

A few weeks back, I think I mentioned that my sister said the cops came to her house as a "Wellness Check" on my nephew because of something he wrote on Facebook. Someone out there he has as a Facebook friend called the cops. Apparently my nephew wrote something like "I'm a 30 year old man, with no job, and my brother [we lost him to suicide]". When my sister told me this, I asked her "Has he EVER even gone to therapy about all of this?" The answer was no.

Well, my sister today told me he is in a Partial Hospitalization Program near me. I'm relieved. He has apparently been sleeping all day for several weeks. He definitely needs help. Unfortunately, his mental wellness was not paid attention to sufficiently. We've all known he has Asperger's and ADD since he was a child. He also may have a seizure disorder, or other neurological disorder. But so often mood stuff goes with it, or is an obvious result of what he's been through. I won't even mention the worst of it! I hope this PHP helps him. I told my sister that I want to ask him to visit me a lot once his program turns into an IOP (3 hours/day instead of 6). I think he needs someone besides his parents. He has no friends. His outpatient program is only a 3 minute drive from my house.

My nephew is likely a hoarder with obsessive compulsive tendencies. I hope that's addressed, too. My sister told me he had been spending all day for years with his obsession about 3-D printing. His room is filled with 3-D printing paraphernalia. He spends all his money on that. He's particularly into printing 3-D images of brains from CT scans and MRIs. A while back, I had offered to give him my PET scan and MRI results. I am now happy I didn't. He has brains all over his room.

I hope the PHP will really help him. He really should have started Therapy when his brother died. PHP is a really good option instead of IP.

I’m sure he would really appreciate you visiting him

Birddancer, I'm glad your nephew is in a PHP that should help. Great idea to spend some time with him when he steps down to an IOP

Oh, the car was was losing gas, it was a regulator or something. $700! Hmm a Nissan huh? Sounds good to me. I think that was one of those that consumers magazine recommends as reliable.

Our family friends who live for their projects struck again. They decided to decorate our house for Christmas today and got it done quickly. It looks wonderful and I am grateful. I always feel a bit down about myself after that whirlwind comes through. I’d like to have a fraction of their energy and productivity.

Not feeling on top of the world today. It’s been dark and cloudy for two days and will be dark and rainy for two more days. That gets to me.

I did finally get a good night’s sleep last night.

Warm regards to all and hugs to those that are struggling.

We have two Nissans and them both. Before that, my husband drove his last Maxima until it had 297k miles on it.

That’s so awesome your house is all festive ! We don’t bother no one would ever see it lol

Yeah 2 days of clouds here and drizzle rain on and off. Might snow a little tomorrow but I think it will just be flurries.

So happy you got some good sleep!

What plans do you have this week to get you out of the house??!

Lol. That is my exact approach to selling/or crushing my car for scrap metals. Apart from my lack of money you get more bang for your buck driving them till is without hope of recovery.

I really try to not complain but this GI stuff is getting SO old. Tonight I bought some cookies and never thought of them having peanut butter in them. PB and milk are the two foods I know I have trouble with. And one of my favorite Christmas cookies does too.

Because I have to go on a water, rice, chicken brother, chicken, fish, pork and turkey diet for 2 weeks after Christmas I'm trying to enjoy foods now. Obviously I need to watch for PB (milk as an ingredient seems ok).

I'm just tired of this. So, so tired.

I’m so sorry you still have this damn GI problem

Yes your food choices are going to really tough to deal with.

Did you have any specific trouble with any certain food groups before your vacation? I’m asking because I wonder if you caught some kind of virus and it flipped a switch to cause food allergies and GI upset with foods you never had problems with before ?

Are you allowed any seasoning or salt and pepper for the meats ? Or is it just legit plain proteins, water and rice ??

I really hope you can get some kind of answers for what’s causing this GI problem to just not resolve

[COLOR="Blue"]I didn't have food allergies before. However my sister has had a bad milk allergy since birth. Your guess is as good as my GI; he said rarely a bacterial or some other kind of infection can trigger food allergies. This makes more sense that just developing it randomly yet being able to say "I became allergic to milk June 28, 2019". COLOR]

I can have a few spices. Not ones that add much flavor. I think he said I could have rosemary and that's not on the list. I"m going to patient portal him about that because rosemary chicken sounds a lot better than most of the offers on the list.

I really hope you can get some kind of answers for what’s causing this GI problem to justnot resolve

I was so tired yesterday that I went to bed at 5pm! And of course I got up a few hours later at 9pm and couldn't get back to sleep.

So I stayed up until 4 and managed to sleep from 430 to 7.

My pdoc is in today I'll see what she says about what's going on now.

I’m having manic symptoms right now that worry me a little. I’ve contacted my psychiatrist’s office, but I probably won’t hear from him for a couple of days. There is a part of me that enjoys feeling this way, but what goes up must come down and I really don’t want to become depressed when I go back to college in January.

I know exactly how you feel about something so reliable. I don't have a Nissan, I have a Honda Civic, but I adore that car. It was the first new car I ever bought in my life. I had used cars before. It is also a possession that is 100% mine alone. I bought it before I got married. That last fact is something very special to me. It is a 1997 Honda and going strong. Never have I broken down driving it (knock on wood) and it has required only the most basic maintenance. I have often thought that if I ever won a lottery that I would still drive this Honda.

I will cry when I have to give up my Honda.

Hi! It's good to see you

Do you have some type of a plan in place should the mania get out of hand?

Yeah, I dread going into depression, too..
Be safe.

Honda and Nissan both have fantastic ratings and yes as long as you keep up routine maintenance they can just run forever.

It’s funny how we get so attached to our cars but it makes perfect sense.

Here’s hoping our cars continue to treat us well !!!

Well another night of zero sleep

So I baked a cake and brownies made potato salad , egg salad and deviled eggs LOL !!!! I’m making a chicken Caesar salad for dinner.

We are both just going to enjoy whatever foods we want because when we return from Florida it’s going to be strict diabetic diet.

I wish my husband would wake up I want to run the vacuum. I’m headed up a bit, trouble sitting still, I’ll keep a close eye on it

Hope everyone has a wonderful day
