I had to go off lithium too. It also damaged my thyroid but I got lithium toxicity. I was taken off and have been off permanatly. Id suggest that you never go on lithium. in the first place. At the very least you will damage your thyroid.

fern46 and bpcyclist, the most wonderful part of MRIs is when they're over. You got through them alright. I hope the results are some help in some way. Even receiving good results is a help.

Strange and wondrous neurological defects..
No, seriously, looking for whether I have an absent left VIth and weird-damaged VIIth cranial nerves, details of my prefrontal cortex, visual cortex, and limbic systems. Schizophrenia-like gray and white matter changes. Yay! Hope yours is fruitful...

My kids are in school today and I had time to myself. I went to the pool and worked out hard. It felt great. I then came home and had a nice chat with my husband without any interruptions. It is nice just having the two of us around for a while. My kids are awesome, but breaks are healthy from time to time.
I also rocked out several chores so I am go I going to relax for a while before carpool. |

I have more moving news. Every year, I have this recertification paperwork to do for section 8. Well now right before I move is when I have to do it! Ugh. As if I needed something else on top of moving! This paperwork is all proofs and two inches thick by the time Im ready to mail it back in.

6 miles running yesterday and today. Really lovely. My mood is euthymic. So rare for me. And I am out of a med. Maybe this is going to help.

My sister came over for lunch and to also drop something off for me. My fridge is pretty bare since we'll be heading away soon, so I bought manicotti lunch specials from my favorite pizzeria restaurant. I decided to make it all look nice by transferring them from the takeout containers to my own baking dish and salad bowl. My sister was so impressed and said "John (our brother) always tells me that dinner at your house is always so great and that your meals are better than anyone else's! I think he's right."
After my sister said the above, I just smiled and said thanks. Yes, my response sort of implied that I had made today's lunch myself, but I didn't see the need to fess up to buying it. After all, I have made homemade manicotti (even yummier ones) many times in the past. Then about one minute later, my sister compliments the meal again, so my husband replies "Yes, Alfredo's Pizzeria has always made delicious food!" You can only imagine the look I gave him. He didn't say that deliberately to out me. He was rather oblivious to the previous exchange. |

Whoops! I posted the above in the wrong thread. Sorry!
Today I felt fine, physically, other than my clogged ear. Hubby and I had two (yes two) different covid tests. In the morning, we went to an urgent care center. That was formal (with lots of forms to fill out) with a nurse administering it, and a doctor popping in. The afternoon one was literally done by ourselves, while in our car at a Rite Aide Pharmacy drive through. Why two? Because we must have results within 72 hours of our flight. Timing for getting results is a bit iffy. Tick, tick, tick. I cheated on my diet today. The good thing is that I threw some leftover cookies in the trash. My sister brought them. They sucked. Definitely not worth the calories. Looking forward to French pastries. |

My weekly weigh in today showed that I'm in the next lower 10 pound bracket. Just by one pound but I'll take it! That's 43 pounds down from my highest! Twenty down from a year ago.

so my care team have just been on the phone- and apparently, they want to arange for me to have live in care (based on what I've been telling them about
my pain, and the minimal results they are seeing in an improvement) I was basically told today by the team that my body is on it's way out, and I was told they won't give me anything else- won't try me with anything else, I should just accept it, and accept the fact that I'm going to need extra care they said if their's ever any concerns email us, but I'm looking at a waiting list of 6 months to get the kind of care I need, and until then, I just need to "struggle on" I am only in my 20;s, and I certainly didn't want to here this at such a young age but their it is. I guess a new era and a new reality (new normal) is on it's way, a lot sooner than I'd hoped |
