hi Scooter!
![]() I am sorry you continue to experience some symptoms. As bpcyclist has shared: it can be incredibly helpful to know what to do with the hallucinations ahead of time. It sounds like you are holding your own, which is good news! ![]() I am hoping the voices go away and things will be stable for you! ![]()

These are incredibly scary, and individualized as the brain tries to rewire from, perhaps in your case, chemical withdrawal.
One thing that helps me that might help you, only as something to try, is to give your brain another focus. Bright Light, stones under your feet, the bitter taste of a lemon, a phone call to someone. Especially in my case, turn off the tv, radio, or anything that's not 'real'. Those things can suck you into a place where your mind has to create mental pictures, images etc, which is where youre trying to steer your brain away from. Sometimes you can feel them coming. If you can perhaps exciting your current situation, location, might help. Please keep fighting and know they will stop. Xx

In think I have to face the reality that I have to come off Mirapex.
I've reduced it quite a bit and now the depression is starting to come back. I can see the type of thoughts are changing towards more negative. It's very subtle but it's definitely happening. And the problem is that I'm still not sleeping properly. So I've stopped Wellbutrin, and reduced the Mirapex as far as I think I can go but I'm still experiencing insomnia. My life is really messed up at the moment. I'm hearing and seeing things, not going to work, not driving, going to bed at 6pm, etc. So I think I'll have to talk to my pdoc about her starting Remeron. I have to try to get some stability back into my life and I think this is the best shot at it.

It looks like I've gone the opposite way now: sleeping too much.
I started Remeron 2 days ago and have been sleeping 12 hours, and that's at half the dose. I'm still hearing and seeing things but a lot less than before.

My sleep seems to be settling. I'm getting around 7 hours now but I'm still at the half dose of Remeron.
Hallucinations have pretty much stopped except for when I'm really sleepy but I think that kind is different from the ones I was experiencing before. I should have increased the Remeron dose by now but I'll wait until Friday night in case I end up sleeping a lot again.

But sleep is much better. Last night was The first since all of these problems started that I slept through the whole night. I'm taking the full dose of Remeron tonight. I should have taken it after 3 days of taking it but I was afraid I'd sleep too long. So it's a Friday night so I thought I'd try tonight. I spoke a little too soon about the hallucinations being gone. They're still around but not as intense as before. Less frequent but still there. Thanks for asking about me WC and everyone else for your concern. It really means a lot to me.
