I have heard this said - but I was experiencing Lithium toxicity and bordering on comatose at the time.

It really doesn’t make sense for your pdoc to change all your meds. If it ain’t broke then why fix it? Are you able to ask them if they literally meant that they would swap out all your meds? Perhaps (hopefully) s/he was just exaggerating.
