Hey everyone..

Today,s Doctor appointment went as expected , Another chest xray and sputum culture. They will have Xray results tomorrow and the sputum will take 48-72 hours to see what it is growing out.

He is very dizzy for some reason, Slow movements. He is talking slow and it reminds me of when he first started Trazodone, 15 mins after he took it he was slurring and zonking out.. I'm keep a watch on him in case there is a stroke , so far its just this odd slur- ish thing, even our Doctor noticed today. He has an Appointment on July 22nd with Pulmonary specialist.

Depedning what the sputum culture shows it will then be decided what the next step will be

Thank you for the ongoing support

Thinking of you and hope the appointment went well.

I posted that right at the same time you posted an update. I hope they are able to figure out a treatment plan with the sputum culture. I am so sorry to hear he is still feeling so poorly.

I am sorry this is such an ongoing struggle for you and, of course, him. Sending you strength and hugs and love and a cleaner CXR.

Well Culture came back, Levaquin did nothing at all.

Last night Steve said he will not go into the hospital.... He said I will be a mess( big deal)..He said he doesnt want to be in the hospital unless I am there to stay on top of everything......

So our Doctor is going to put him back on Bactrim for another 10 days. Our Doctor is really hoping this might help as going into the hospital puts him at risk of more infections..

I so hope that the Bactrim helps. I would not like to see Steve in the hospital, if at all possible. Continue to be strong, Christina!

Major prayers and hugs that this does the trick. It really is so hard on the families (and the patients) to not be able to stay with their loved ones in the hospital - so good karma that Steve starts feeling better.

has he been nasally swabbed for the covid 19, virus? They even have a blood test that is able to check for anti bodies and whether it is an active case.
I got tested because I had pink eye and My aunt said that could be a symptom of the virus. So I had the nasal test/probe and waited 3 days for the negative results thank God!
You may have already done this for him, I have not read your thread entirely.
From what I have read you both have been thru hello and back.
Am so sorry for the suffering that you have been thru.
many good thoughts and prayers sent your way.

A huge Thank you to each and every one of you

This GD bacterial infection is a monster. He is back on another 10 days of Bactrium. IF this doesn't work he will have to go into the hospital for IV antibiotics and I will not be able to be there with him because of this damn Plague

Hes been tested for Covid and as expected it was negative..

This infection could easily kill him..I am trying desperately not to go down that mental rabbit hole, but facts are facts.

It will destroy me if I lose him

Sorry to hear you and Steve are still stuck in this awful situation. I can only imagine how frustrating, stressful, and scary this situation is for the two of you.

I hope doctors can find a way to get Steve healthy again because you and Steve deserve at least some relief from all of this unnecessary stress.

I also hope you can find out the cause of this infection, but I realize that may be very difficult.

Keep hanging in there. You're a very strong person who is going through a lot.

Did they test him with nasal swabs or the venipunture blood test?or did they just do a rapid results one, prick finger put the blood ona device that looks
like a pregnancy test.It was recommended to me to get tested.I was symptom free except for this pink eye that I had gone to the walk in urgent care place. That first test came out positive, I freaked out. they then did the nasal swab/probe. and wanted for 3 days to get the results. That came back negative. those rapid results are not that reliable, wonder why they use them. I am going to go back and have the blood test for the virus....why did they not offer that? that is the most definitive test it tells you if you have the anti bodies and if you are actively having the virus.
Sending good thoughts your way. you sound so stressed.
