Hard to choose. As for more modern artists, I'd say Joan Miro. I bought my husband a framed print of one of his paintings a couple years back. We also have a framed poster in my husband's office.

Q: What do you have perhaps more of than the average household?

Yes, not very often, but sometimes. I have made authentic Paella Valenciana a few times with Bomba rice, snails, rabbit and the other goodies. I don't have an authentic paella pan, but what I have works OK. I only achieved an excellent socarrat once, but they were all good, despite. I like seafood paella, but don't make it because my husband doesn't like shellfish. I sometimes make gazpacho, but without garlic, because my husband is allergic to it. My mother made a more authentic gazpacho on several occasions. We used to go to a local tapas restaurant, but unfortunately it closed. There is another in town, but the ratings are poor. We've been to Seville, Spain, so ate authentic Spanish food there. Barcelona is on our bucket list. In fact, we hope to go there in September, if the pandemic situation allows.

Q: What was the best meal you ever had in your life, to date?

Oh, wow. Hmm. Jean Georges or Daniel in New York. Some Chinese place in Shanghai I can't recall the name of. The White House in Paris. Killer view. And any one of several in St. Bart's. Oh--and Halekulani in Honolulu, for sure, that place, too. Incroyable. But maybe, just being on the beach and how much I love Hawaii, maybe Halekulani. If my kids weren't here, I would have moved to Hawaii long ago. A tropical Oregon. Memories...

Have you ever been water skiing?
