Depends on the temp. If it's above 90 or it's humid I use AC and a fan to circulate the air, below that open windows.

Did you/do you have acne? How severely?

I'm 50 now and my skin is perfectly clear. I did have an issue with some cystic acne when taking Lithium (primarily jaw line). A most annoying side effect! Luckily, after about 6 to 12 months off it (about 7 years ago) it all cleared up, including the scars. I also had teen acne. It was slightly unpleasant and my mom took me to a dermatologist at one point. Not very severe, and calmed a bit by about age 18, with just a couple/few blemishes here and there...until Lithium. Sometimes blackheads were even worse. Those have also greatly subsided. Lithium also affected my skin quality in other ways, but again, it improved after going off of it. I've read that about 33% of Lithium takers experience skin-related issues.

Do you have a distinguishing physical feature (i.e. a birthmark or other)?

Yes my Twin and I both have birthmarks but the one that sets us apart is when we were 4 we got chicken pox. I picked one of mines (ewww!) And now have the lovely mark from it on the right hand side of my forehead.

Question: What's the weather like where you ate right now?

2021 has been a MAJOR year in my life. Obviously, most all people will look at it as a sad time in history as millions died of covid 19 alone. Many of which simply because they refused vaccination. January 6 was also particularly a crisis day in my native USA. I would never have thought such a horrible thing could happen. I am deeply saddened that so many Americans believe a lie told by a sociopath and his cohorts. That people believe vicious fake news peddled on Facebook over legitimate sources. It's also deeply sad that most of those same people promote something that ultimately does them harm, without them realizing. We all want the same things. Not hate. We want security, satisfaction in life, community/unity, love.

I also made a huge move from the US to Europe at the age of 49. It's not easy. I did it because my new country gives me the security the US currently can't/won't. The forces that are hurting my native country only wish to make it harder and more unpleasant for the majority, not just people like me. So many people are duped. It's indeed a tragedy!

I don't know what to expect in 2022. There's a strong chance that covid 19 will continue on for a while. There's a chance that those peddling the lie will regain control. I hate the thought of the rise of authoritarianism in the US. The rise of propaganda. It's not at all unlike that of communist countries. It's paradoxical that I now live in what used to be a communist controlled country, and yet my new country is more democratic than the home I left behind. I fear that the American people may need to learn a very hard and painful lesson in order to restore democracy to a better place again. All Americans used to oppose a Putin-style Russia. Now far too many are embracing it, without even knowing it. I wish I could shake them out of it, but it's hard.

Question: If you could go back in time to do one thing, what would it be?

speak with the man, the legend, the creator of mickey mouse, walt disney himself

that guy had an incredible imagination and I'd love to know what inspired him and what made him want to found such a company in the first place

(and maybe get some trade secrets, who knows!)

if you could only celebrate one holiday a year, which one would you want to do?

Halloween. The best holiday ever

If there was a convention for your favorite tv show, would you go? Who as?

Maybe birds. My husband and I are huge bird enthusiasts. I think many people don't even pay attention to them, especially in this day and age of smart phones, etc.

What do you regard as the most beautiful animal, outside of domestic type pets and humans?

For birds I’d pick the Mandarin duck. Otherwise the clouded tiger, I think that’s the name. Closer to here I’d pick a baby seal, they are soooooooo adorable.

Are you ready for a new year?

The pandemic ending, or at least getting to a spot where it's managed well.

What did you do to celebrate the new year?

We sat up to midnight. We had snacks and watched old movies on the on demand channel and in between peeked at the New Years shows. Watched the ball drop in New York then watched the fleur de lis light up in New Orleans. Then went to bed. No big party for us.

A little younger than my age of 50, but I still feel like an experienced adult. I've always liked being an adult and felt mature since an early age. Growth is good, in my book. Perhaps I feel a little younger than my years because I never had children and am generally youthful-looking.

At what age did you mostly become "on your own"? At least for a while.

18. I moved out of state to a university. While I didn’t pay for the first two years I was away from family and had to make my own decisions. I had to get a work study job to have cash for the dorm lifestyle. In the Sumer in between I shared rent with a friend from high school and worked full time. After two years I dropped out to work for a year, trained as a CNA and then went to a different university and paid my own way.

Do you think police need more training and awareness of mental illness? Currently in my state they need just 16 hours.

Love spaghetti. Best spaghetti I ever had was from a hole in the wall Italian restaurant in DC. That was back in 76. Went there with my family and checked into the hotel and walked about 2 blocks in a deserted city.

You prefer mom and pop restaurants or chain restaurants?

Definitely mom and pop. No hesitation. I like any business where it gives a local vibe. Not a corporate stale cold one. I do wish more mom and pop places would insure their employees. Actually, I wish there was universal healthcare in the US, then people wouldn't be at the mercy of whether their employers are WILLING to or even able to give such a benefit.

Have you ever had a place you'd go that had a feeling of the old show "Cheers", where "everyone knew/knows your name? If so, where?

A: A little bar downtown Louisville. It no longer exists but the locals were good to remember who you were. I only frequented it a little while and they treated me like family there. I found it both odd and very endearing. It didn't take long to become part of the fold. Honestly, I think I lived in Louisville 3-4 months at the time, and only was there 5-6 times.

Q: Putting aside cost or justification for purchasing the item, what would be the best present or "toy" for yourself? Go wild -- a car, an electronic, a blender -- I don't care! haha
