Feta cheese, spinach, black olives and sausage

Would you, rather, drive a car, ride a bike or ride a horse?

If you were getting a new pet what would it be and what would you name it?

I’d love a mastiff or a Komondor. They are both big lumps of love. I’d have to meet the dog though before I could give him a name. But something dignified unless they are a complete doofus, then an oddball name

If you had three wishes, what would you wish for?

More peace in the world.

Hubby and I finally finding a more permanent home that we'd like.

A pet.

Question: What are some of the smaller things in life that give you pleasure?

The feeling of cool, brisk air on my face, the smell of the pine trees, watching traffic on the highway, my cats, the feeling of muscle fatigue after a good run, hugs and kisses, jam sessions, and cherry crisp.

Poof, you're a master of any skill(s) you want. Which do you choose?

Fluency in French and Czech, in addition to my native English. Also, some lucrative money-making skill that could be used for a very pleasant and low stress job.

Do you like the sound of your own voice on recordings?

Saw a group of Mum's coming into a restaurant I was in and it is narrow ar the door. So got up and held the 2 sets of doors opened for them. Nothing wrong with manners especially in this day and age.

Question: How do you deal with nightmares regarding news headlines?.... I only watch the news once a day for an hour (local, regional and national) I ignore everything on Facebook to do with current affairs as its triggering. How do you cope?

I cope by remembering history and knowing we survived before and will again. That and not having any social media except this forum. I also don’t watch the news except an hour a day.

Do you like to reread books form long ago? Like I read a humorous author back in the 70’s and just bought her book for my kindle, and have Agatha Christie’s books on my list.

Yes. I had a few really bad therapists when I was in grad school. They were free but they were not good. It took many years before I would do therapy again. Funny enough but I've now been at the same counseling center for 20 years this June and have never been treated badly.

Do you get Girl Scout Cookies? What is your favorite flavor?

My Dad got Girl Scout Cookies this year. Caramel DeLites have always been my favorite but there is a new "Adventurefuls" flavor that is really, really good.

Do you drink smoothies? Favorite flavor?

Don’t know if they are true smoothies, I just use frozen fruit, vanilla yogurt and soy milk. My favorite is made with mixed berries.

Do you eat yogurt?

Yes, almost daily for breakfast and/or sometimes as a snack.

At what age did you learn how to swim and/or ride a bike?

I don’t remember, I was young, maybe 6-7 I had to get up in the mornings for mum to drive me to the public pool.

I was the youngest by far of three I just imitated my sisters and “borrowed their bikes to learn to ride a bike. I just kept doing it till I caught on. Eventually dad transformed one of the old bikes into my bike by painting it a hot flaming orange and adding a black sparkle banana seat and streamers.

What age was your first alone trip? For instance when I was 8 my friends and I took off on our bikes and went to the next town over for the day. We got hot dogs at the grocery store and ate them in the park after collecting sticks and branches for a fire.

I don't know the first time I did this, but by the time I was 7 I would take friends/cousins to the pond and we would "borrow" my friend's uncle's canoe to get to the island in the middle and we'd hang out there for a couple hours.

What's your go-to when you're bored?

if you had followed your childhood dream, (and you never got any type of diagnoses to stop you), what would you be doing now

Besides my blood relatives, it's my husband. About 25 years. Or if you count a couple friends I haven't seen for a while, my friend Jiang L. and Joe C. The latter about 32 and 33 years.

the last poster didn't leave a question, so I will:

when you feel like giving up, what is the one thing that keeps you going

I think for me if there's something I truly truly want, that itself is motivation enough. If I'm ill, I'm ill, and I'm willing to accept it (at the moment) and say to myself "That's OK to give up right now." If there is something I don't want, but feel forced to do, I can easily tell myself "To heck with that!" However, I know sometimes there are things we must do that we hate. Sometimes a bit of teeth grinding and tight fist can push me forward.

Did/do you consider the type that conforms to others' expectations? Or do you feel perfectly fine not doing so, even if there are some ramifications?

I don't really conform to family's expectations, it would make my life hell if I did... so many differences, so little understanding, and so much rigidity (on their part)

Do you often change your mind about things or people?

I change my mind if I see something that influences my decision. I wouldn't say I do spontaneously.

Have you ever had surgery?

No, knock on wood. I have had a few procedures (i.e. ECT) and some stitches, but they didn't fall under the surgery umbrella.

What is your favorite flower and favorite tree?
