A: Leipzig, Germany -- always wanted to see that city.

Q: Assuming you could only choose one medium of art (TV, Movies, Music, or Theatre) to see for the rest of your life, which would you choose? Why?

Music - it feels the least like forcing a view down my throat. More wildly applicable in my opinion

You??

I would go with Theatre, although losing Music would be very sad.

But actually, how does Brentus define Theatre? What about opera and ballet? I am going to see an opera today and I love ballet. If you count them as Music rather than Theatre, then I would go for Music.

Q: if a Martian extraterrestrial arrives and inquires from you about life on Earth, how would you explain what Bipolar illness is to them in simple, accessible terms?

Sweet question, I'd probably say the inconsistent firing of brain signals resulting in cyclical and not entirely predictable mood states.

What about you? Sorry I've been not so creative and loving your guyses questions.

Sometimes you're fast, sometimes slow. Sometimes on top of the world, sometimes in the pits. Sometimes ywired. sometimes yourer tired. Sometimes both! And much of the time, hopefully you're just on the lake ice fishing.

Do you have a favorite song that is about BD or is relatable to in a bipolar way
?

Hi @Brentus. I actually visited Leipzig at the end of last month. It was a pleasant city. We went there mainly to see a concert, but also enjoyed a couple museums, including the Bach museum. I actually found Dresden even nicer and more interesting. Dresden is about 1 1/2 hours to 2 from Leipzig by car or public transportation. If you ever make it to Germany, keep that city in mind. A lot of great cities are within 2 to 3 hours from there (Berlin, Prague).

Maybe "Lithium" by Nirvana? I certainly relate to that song on many levels.

Other than needing to remember to take your medications, do you ever have stretches of time when you sort of "forget" you have bipolar disorder?

Never. Unfortunately

Same question.

I think about this. I’d want a place that was easy to drive in, no snow, lots of art classes, good friendly people. Probably some place in New Mexico. Near the mountains and the desert

When you don’t stick to a schedule do you get a bit disoriented?

I have to be on a strict schedule with my meds. 8:30 pm and 11 pm (that one sometimes is a little off). I don't sleep if I'm not careful with those times. Other things I don't generally really schedule.

Have you ever hit an animal with your car?

I believe that I once ran over a squirrel. It was around 2005. I was heartbroken. I was rushing to a class I needed to teach. But now I am not so sure that my perception was accurate. I have observed squirrels over the years and they are just too fast and nimble to allow themselves to be run over by a car.

Q: Do you attach any special significance to full moon?

When I worked in psychiatric there definitely was more strange stuff on full moon days. It never failed. However I've paid attention to myself and I don't change when the moon is full, at least not that I'm aware of. Maybe when I was IP they noticed something but I don't.

Do you personally respond to the full moon?

No, I’ve never noticed any correlation personally. I love full moons and especially the old names for them. I think the one that’s coming up is beaver moon,…or maybe that was last month? I’ve forgotten the names from lack of use.

You ever get into things and do a deep dive, then forget what you’ve learned?

Yes. I follow rabbit holes all the time and learn a lot about something and then move on and forget it when another idea replaces it.

What do you like about yourself?

Resilience, unconventional, funny, good advocate when I find something I care about.

What about you what traits do you respect the most with yourself (good question)

If you could mix three scents and call it your personality, which three scents would they be?

What about you

I don't like how nice I am, how unconfident, too dependent, can't drive because of my stupid driving phobia, etc. I feel like an adult baby! I'm pathetic.

Same herr. Not that I actually do as I am told, but I let them tell me.

Let us go back to MuddyBoots' question about mixing scents.

Bear scat, pine trees, and burnt rubber.

Do you prefer control or freedom?

Control. I hate feeling out of control. It's why I've never drank alcoholic; hate the feeling.

Who is hardest for you to shop for this Christmas?

My eldest son. He is so hard to please. I got a wish list from him because I asked for one.

Have you finished your Christmas shopping?
