Yes. It means I get a much needed break from teaching.

Do you do a countdown to Christmas and are you looking forward to it?

Ehh, I’m neutral on Christmas. They start so early so by the time Christmas gets here I’m tired of it. I wish it wasn’t so commercialized they’ve started with the Black Friday ads already and some stations have 24 hours of Christmas movies. I’ve avoided stores but they already have Christmas stuff. So, ehhh

Do you think they start with the Christmas stuff too early?

Yes! It should start after Thanksgiving, not right after Halloween.

Same question.

Way too early! I think it should start no earlier than December 1, when there is the start of the advent calendar. In fact, that is the only Christmas decoration I pull out until a couple or few days before December 24.

There are no noticeable Christmas decorations yet up in Florence, Italy or Prague, Czech Republic. However, yesterday I heard Christmas music playing in the hotel I'm in right now in the former. Good grief! I will say that I bought one Christmas present so far. For my sister-in-law.

Do you think Christmas gift-giving is excessive?

It’s pretty tame in my home.

If you could would you spend Christmas in the south?

Nah. Especially not if my aunts find out I'm in the neighborhood!

If you could make up your own degree, what would it be?

How to treat people with respect 101

It would teach people how not to talk down to people and patronize them, and the right things to say when someone is struggling.
What is your level of education?. Did you go to college for example, make university?

No. We live on a rural road and nobody ever comes here. They probably go to town to trick or treat. We did when we were growing up on a rural road.

Do you like to be cold or warm when you are sleeping?

In the wild, maybe a large parrot in the jungle or forest. It would be nice to fly, and unlike some other birds, they cuddle with their long-time mates.

What do you like most about the evening/night other than sleeping?

I like the darkness. This time of year especially because it gets dark early. I just really enjoy the darkness.

I also like watching gymnastics and figure skating.

I only recently started watching shorts and reels and I do not do this compulsively but just a bit.

Do you know what ASMR (as in ASMR videos) stand for without checking on Google or YouTube?

No, but I'm learning what I enjoy, slowly but surely.

Do you have lots of motivation for success, however you define it?

Trying to get it back. Been difficult in recent years.

Are you planning on having Thanksgiving dinner with someone, be it family, friends, church, social group?

I keep cubed cheddar cheese on hand. I eat a few with my night meds. I also always have soy milk and boxed chai on hand for breakfast. Everything is changeable tho

Do you speak a second language?
