Well I can't find my last thread so started a new one.

I'll post more when we now more about Derrick's new job. But
for now he is at Outback, and he is going to enjoy this from the
sounds of it. They definitely care about their employees they
have some nice rules to keep them safe because some have
been attacked waiting for rides. And some people have been
attacked on the specific buses that they could catch from their
restaurant, so they aren't allowed to ride that bus unless there are
more than one of them on it.

Also the little access bus that he rides has to either honk twice when
it stops outside to get them, or come to the first door and let them
know he is there. And someother things. Its really nice.

So i'm really pleased.

Donna

Ps. I'm doing really good at my pt and my back is doing really good right
now. I will be released this Friday or my pain doctor will have to prescribe it.

The bus sounds great!
Glad to hear that you are doing better. Ot/pt should continue as long as you are showing progress.

Because of the way Medicare does the Pt I have to get a new Prescription to keep doing the PT. Right now its not something that I have time for.
Yes, I know that doesn't make sense but until I get Derrick on a bus schedule,
and know his schedule, get my own appts all updated I need to work through
that first. THen if I think I still need to continue the PT when I go back to the pain doctor in October I'll ask him for a prescription to go again.

Its just I need sometime. Derrick starts tomorrow, don't know time he gets off.
Because he is training the three days we know he goes this week. And I have
a eye appointment at 2:15, I am pretty sure he wont be finished, so I have Dale
coming in to pick him up. So that is okay. The other two days this week are
okay. Nothing over scheduled, but I do have a appt. also on THursday but I think my Doctor's appt. and his work schedule will be fine. And Friday I take him to work after class at cooking class.

My eye appointment went great. Derrick's first day of training went well
too. He I believe will be happy there. Now if the email that was
supposed to come throught would just get here. Heehee, they
had a problem when it was supposed to go through this weekend.
and it didn't go through for his work. And its still not come through.

I think he is afraid its going to be a problem with him if he still doesn't
get it by thursday, nope I'll just take him in tomorrow after his meeting
and let him see if they can resend it.

Derrick had a second great day of training for his new job. I had a good Pain doctor appoint. I will get PT from him if I need it. But for now I will have an emg for my arms, because I've been having pain in the left one and we don't know why.

Derrick's potasium went really high on THursdays level draw, but we got the call on Friday, right before he was going to his last day of training. So he went and
told them what was going on and went to training.
So when he got to ER they did his level's and said, it was 3.2 and it was fine.

So they sent him home he seemed fine all weekend. I was watching him.
To make sure.

He goes to his last day of Training tomorrow.

Had a great day today. Derrick and I went to lunch at Cheddar's.
We both had Steak, I had a baked potato and corn. He had steak,
corn and Cesar salad. And cheese curds. He loves those.

We also got our hair cut. We both love our cuts. I've needed it for
a couple of weeks, and he probably about that long. Anyway I
then went and got my hydrocodone at his pharmacy. Because mine
has it only on back order. And will probably start having it called in
at this pharmacy now. Because its always on back order there per
the doctors office.

So we will see. Derrick works tomorrow and Sunday this weekend.

And I think if its okay with his employer he is going to start working
on Sunday's in stead of Saturdays because its much easier on Special
Olympics and and me.

Derrick and I had lunch or an early dinner at Fazoli's before
he went to work at Outback.

I'll pick him up tonight. Its his only day or night working this
week. Not sure yet if he works at all next week. But its okay if
he doesn't. We plan to have lunch or dinner or a combo of
both at Outback on Thursday. Because we haven't had a meal
there yet.

The co-worker he worked Saturday for, texted him earlier and originally
asked if he wanted her to work for him today. She had gotten out of
the Hospital and was willing to pick the shift up for him. Then she had
to tell him she couldn't because her college told her she had to come in
and makeup her work. She then said, anytime he wanted a day of
to let her know.
This is what is called a good co-worker to me.

Anyway we are looking forward to our weekend. Have a great weekend,
a great hotel, and a great college we are going too. The hardest part
is figuring out what to do about my back. I'm debating taking my wheelchair.

Because we just got word its a really or pretty big class I'm guessing I better
so I know what kind of seat I'm going to have.

Anyway. When we get back on the 15th of October it will be my Son Dan's
43 birthday. Wow, now Im telling how old I'm getting. But everyone knows
I'm 65 anyway.

Have a great weekend, and start to next week.

Well Derrick and I had a great weekend. We didn't need the wheelchair because we were in good seats for my back. So that was nice. We had great classes.

He has set up a great practicum now just working through to get his permission and a couple of other things in the beginning so that he can get started.

Bizi,
We went to INDY for the Athletic Leadership University. Which is when
he and other athletes get together for a weekend, to go to classes for
learning about leadership. Derrick's class was the capstone class that
he is now doing a practicum that he is now doing a practicum, which
is for another counties athletes because he volunteers for them. Its
their Basketball skills group. He is doing some stretching lessons, and
working on nutrition, with the kids and adults. He is having chart made
to start with the students to start at beginning and measure their stretches
and at the end.
So this is what we spent the weekend, writing a goal. And he is going to write
a mission statement. And some other things. He is going to start learning
more about networking.

Well I went for my primare medicare appt yesterday. I have been having some problems with my blood pressure. And Of course it wouldnt show them what I've been seeing but
I'll just keep looking at it. Also my ears have lots of wax in them they are going to have to send me to an ent because they couldn't get it out at the office yesterday. I go back on
Monday to do a urine test, because I couldn't get it yesterday, and get my second shingles shot. I was just to late there. And then on TUesday I go to neuro about my migaines
for just a check up. Which is good. Then about a week later to the cancer doctor for my year check-up then all doctors have been done for this year. I will be checking the blood
work when I go.
