(Last paragraph barely related but talks other stimulants so kinda related)
Do you find yourself sensitive? Have you noticed something of a “dose limit” like, you can have a cup of coffee (~100mg caffeine) fine, but the second or third cup+ or something higher in caffeine content (like a couple of those 100-200mg caffeine pills, for example) will make you anxious or elevated (or some other negative effect)? do you think it depends on the source (like tea vs coffee vs energy drinks vs pills, etc. )? I’m just curious because I was tired as hell this morning so went to the local convenience store and got the cheapest low cal energy drink (which happened to be Bang which I hear is what the EMTs use when they’re understaffed and have crazy scheduled because it has 300mg of caffeine). Drank it on the way to the park near where I get my meds and honestly feel even more tired and nauseous. Won’t repeat. Couldn’t survive on an EMTs schedule (which sucks because that was one of my future career wants a ways back). (Also, peeps with ADHD, how do you find a balance of treating symptoms without feeling tired? I was okay from 9:30-3pm on 30mg Adderall XR and then was thought tornadoing the rest of the day so they added 10mg of IR to take at 3pm and I don’t like the IR compared to XR because of it hitting harder, faster, and wearing off like 2 hours later, but I understand why they wouldn’t want me to take another XR dose at 3pm. Ideas? I don’t know much about ADHD meds other than the stimulants are pretty much all amphetamine or methylphenidate variations, and some people take Wellbutrin, Strattera, and a couple others I don’t remember the names of. Oh, Clonidine too, which I take at night already to help with sleep anxiety/PTSD nightmares, and recommend if that’s an issue but prazosin isnt your thing.)

I have no idea what if anything they're going to do about my ADHD. I drink a lot of caffeine (306 mg) a day but I'm cutting back I'm down to at most 160 mg. My anxiety has not gotten better ( t says it's because of delusions that my anxiety is so bad).

I'm sensitive. I try to limit myself to 1 cup of coffee daily. Mostly it works unless I decide to stop by Starbucks. Otherwise, I'm all over the place and just forget trying to read.

Oh definitely. I have one glass of chai in the morning. And if I’m weak and break down I have a bottle of Pepsi. But no more energy drinks or caffeine pills for me. They just made me jittery and unstable. At my sickest I sought out energy drink’s and pills cause it was a thrill. I revealed in being hard to treat and unique. I claimed I needed those things to function . But really I wasn’t unique I was just self harming.

Sometimes a high dose of caffeine (energy drink, venti starbucks drink, etc.) will make me feel hypomanic but not always.
Maybe you've already heard this but I've heard, that for people with ADHD, caffeine can have the opposite effect and make them feel tired. Maybe, this is what happened with you?

Yeah, I knew that as a general rule stimulants affect people with ADHD differently, I just have hopes some days are exceptions or that some stimulants are exceptions.
Possible trigger: rec. drug use

I can drink green tea, take caffeine pills, drink soda and and energy drinks and not get anxious, but coffee makes me anxious as fck. I don't know what's up with that. Very strange.
I don't have ADHD. But I take wellbutrin and the shyt makes me tired. Doesn't perk me up at all. And most of the time seroquel doesn't help me fall asleep. And when my GP put me on phentermine to help with weight loss it made me depressed instead of making me ecstatic and full of energy like it does for most people. Don't know what's up with all of that. And benadryl doesn't make me tired. Strange phenomenon.
