Case mgr texted me. Said she emailed my pnurse but never got a response! Case mgr said she made a note that I’d be first to deal with tomorrow morning! We’ll see.

I just picked up my blister packs of meds yesterday and they changed my Gabapentin dose to 600 from 300! Maybe I’ll finally sleep?

“ May help with sleep in some cases: In some individuals, particularly those with sleep disturbances associated with pain or other conditions, gabapentin's sedative effects might actually be beneficial for sleep quality. However, it's not primarily prescribed as a sleep aid.”

what did she mean by too much fish? Is she concerned about mercury in your diet?

I don’t know. She said to eat it 2 or 3 times per week.

Fish is not something to be rationed, unless the issue is mercury. People who traditionally live by the shore eat fish daily and there is nothing wrong with it. At least twice a week for fatty fish does not mean at most that. So it is very weird she would limit you and without explaining why. If not for mercury, fish would be one of the best foods. And smaller fish typically don't accumulate much mercury.

I tend to eat salmon. Today I made a smoothie for dinner. Easy to make and delicious to drink!

My only two thoughts about too much fish being bad (aside from mercury) are that it's deep fried and that you're getting too much protein.

Salmon usually isn't deep fried, so that's out. Which leaves excess protein might harm your kidneys.

I thought of that actually. Seeing my primary dr tomorrow so I’ll mention this.

Dr. Peter Attia has just recently produced a long free access article arguing for increasing protein intake. I know he covers the claim about possible kidney damage, too, but I didn't read that part of the article in detail.

My blood tests came back unremarkable. I stopped the risperdal 10 days ago because of sexual side effects and after 3 weeks a TEN pound weight gain plus changes to my breast tissue found by my primary doctor who said “No more Risperdal!” My prolactin as of yesterday is back in the normal range despite the persisting breast changes.

Risperdal's sexual side effects are awful. Glad you were able to come off of it.
