I wasn't sure exactly where to put this, so I figured that here was a good idea. Help for book on BPD
I'm writing a book about a collage-age couple. The guy is what most would describe as "normal" (other than his involvement with the Goth subculture) as he is mentally intact and a bit of an introvert. The girl, however, has borderline personality disorder. I've had issues, but none of them are BPD. I was wondering if anyone who has BPD could give me insight as to what it's like. Similarly, if anyone has a relative or friend with BPD, it would be nice if you could tell me what they're like to live with, talk to, etc. One of the main points of BPD I need to know about are the abandonment issues; they'll play a giant part in the book.
Thanks to everyone who'll help! xD

Best of luck with your book...

I have read most books and research on BPD. One of the best views from the inside out is Rachel Reiland's ... "Get Me Out of Here: My Recovery from Borderline Personality".

It masterfully depicts the inner struggles associated with BPD,,the overwhelming fear of abandonment the sufferer experiences and the challenges both the therapist and those who love Rachael endure and overcome through the journey to recovery.

Please note, that this is a "support" forum, where people come to give and/or offer support. Also this is the "bipolar" forum, not "borderline personality" forum.
The members here are not here to be used as "research" subjects, I ask that you respect that, perhaps there are other websites you can "google" that would better suit your need in researching info for your book.
Thanks,
DE
