Hi, Paul, and welcome. I think I'm suffering from bipolar what do I do?

I'm sure that members will respond to you. Don't hesitate to state what you're having issue with, would like to discuss, etc. and I'm sure that members will respond with personal experience/knowledge as it pertains.

Again, welcome. I think I'm suffering from bipolar what do I do?

Erm Paul, I really don't know what to say. Maybe you could start up the topic, like ask anything specifically? ;] What you're dealing with, is it about your medications, coping, et cetera.

Ask away! ;]

Wellllll. You could go to a doctor and ask if your symptoms could be bipolar.

They should send you to someone who can diagnose you or help you. Or at least ask you questions. Give you questionnaires to fill. Though usually that happens at the psychiatrist's / therapist's. If they tell you to stop self-diagnosing (without doing any of the above), go to another doctor.

It is important to recognize it early. Best of luck to you!

Yes, getting a dx & some idea of what the treatment would be is important. I definitely asked the doc so now what next?? when I had first been dxed with bipolar 1. But it is an ongoing process--treatment is not cut & dried, unfortunately. If it is bipolar, it will be an ongoing process to get the best quality of life that you want. It takes work--not just taking meds--you'll need to readjust your lifestyle, maybe do therapy (usually recommended in conjunction with medication).--Suzy

Paul,
I'm a recent new member and this place is great for getting questions answered and finding support. These people on here are incredible. That being said, the more specific you can be with a question the better the answers will be. Bipolar disorder can manifest such a broad range of symptoms it's hard to say whether or not you may be bipolar just from your question, but if you suspect you might be suffering, see you doctor. It's not worth it to suffer without treatment because treatment is available and can make you better. The suffering is awful which make it so important to get help. Good luck!!!!
Take care,
Suz
