Today as I do every Weds. go to the V.A. for my weekly chat with my doctor. It' has been an extremely rough week this last week, so it was a rough session. When I got home, I found one of my dogs laying in the hallway in distress. One of my worst fears were being realized, I sat down and talked with her and put her head in my lap.

she could not hold up her head, and I was trying to see what else was run. As I sat there I realized that my little girl was going to pass away and there was nothing I could do about it. I didn't even have the time of trying to get her to a vet....

She passed away while in my lap, she was trying to get closer to me, and I held her close as the tears were streaming down my face. And I stayed there for the longest time crying and holding her. She has been with me through alot, always ready and willing to wag a tail and lick my nose letting me know things were going to be okay.
