I have soooooooo much energy yet I am dead tired. I feel like I could just go to sleep and sleep for years but yet am up cleaning and cleaning and my mind is going millions of miles an hour. I called my pdoc's office this morning but of Friday's they are only there in the mornings and they didn't call me back
![]() So I have the weekend to deal with this on my own. I have been trying to force myself to lay on the couch and go to sleep because last night I only slept for 3 hours but every time I lay down and close my eyes my brain says oh yea you need to go do this and I pop up and go do it. I just can't relax even though my eyes are soooooo heavy. I want to take one of my sleeping pills to make myself go to sleep but don't want to get in that habit of doing that. Plus I'm not sure if that would even work. Any suggestions? Jbug

If it gets too bad I would take a sleeping pill. It is the only thing that works for me when things get bad like that. I wish your pdoc's office had gotten back to you. Hang in there.

I get the Risperdal Consta shot and I take Topamax.
Update: I did sleep last night like a rock. I take Serzone and Minipress and when I started out on these I was taking two of them but they sedated me too much so I was cut back to one of each...I am probably going to get flamed for what I am about to say so I am putting on my flame proof suit soooo anyway last I night I went back to my original dosage and took it about 8:00 and woke up today around 2 p.m. I woke up every so often in the night to let the cat in around 8:30 and then out again shortly after and then in again around 12 and then I crawled in my bed and he came to bed with me. I slept so sound I had some very wierd dreams involving me buying a lawnmower and starting a landscaping business and also buying some pet mice both of which I would never do but oh well as long as it just plays out in my dreams. I don't know what "flame" means...there is nothing wrong with your behavior...nothing wrong in the least.
If you have a lseeping pill then take it or take an anti anxiety med if you have that. I jsut recently switched from ambien to kklonipin...tried to get off the ambien for 4 months...but finally had to "cave in" and take klonipin to help me sleep. I jsut could not keep on not sleeping. WE have to sleep! bizi ![]() |

Thanks bizi. Flame means people saying mean comments about a post or behavior. I was expecting to get flamed for taking medicine not exactly how prescribed. My doc had switched me to one of each of those pills each day but I took my original dosage. I am still kind of sleepy but not enough to actually sleep. I have been up today since 2 doing odds and ends cleaning and off and on on the net. I am finding myself quite irritable today and just the littlest thing sets me off on a tangent. Good thing I live by myself and I can yell and scream and no one but the cat can hear me LOL.

Yeah, I didn't understand either why you thought people would "flame" you, though I'm not really a big computer person so I'm exactly sure what flaming is...though I know it is insulting.
But glad you got some sleep. Not sleeping is a serious problem for me despite taking sedating meds & causes problems in my thinking & decisions.--Suzy |

I'm currently playing around with my meds, so it would be hypocritical to say anything. I hope your pdoc/pnurse gets back to you Mon. And I should really call mine.

Don't worry about it. You knew it was safe to take. You had been prescribed that med in that dosage before. No biggie. I was given valium and given such a low dosage that it didn't really do anything. The second time I took it I waited a couple hours or so and then took a second. It worked and I told my pdoc about it too. He told me to go ahead and take two if I need it.
Not sleeping could be more dangerous than playing around with meds like what you just did.

Thanks guys I was worried about being attacked for my actions. I did sleep a bit last night. I think I would have slept better had I not slept in front of the T.V. but I did that because my cat was outside and don't like to sleep in my bed if he is outside because I worry I won't hear him when he wants to come in. I know I shouldn't worry about but I do. I like to bring him in right away because there is a mean cat in my complex and I don't want Tyger to get in a fight with this cat because this cat likes to beat up on Tyger. So when Tyger asks to come in I try to get him as soon as possible. I am going to lunch with my family this afternoon and when I get home I will crawl in my bed and hopefully get a nap.
