My brain doesn't seem to be absorbing things very well. And today nothing at all. This is the end of my Junior year of college but I've changed majors so who knows. At any rate, I tried to study chemistry today and nothing made sense. I haven't changed meds, I've gotten enough sleep, eaten enough... Just sometimes my brain stops working! I feel depressed a bit- sensitive emotionally. I have two exams next week. So far I've got C's going in my classes. For me in these classes, those are my A's so ... I would really rather have one of my illeitis episodes - go to the ER and get morphine get taken care of.... a week or so, and I'll want everyone to leave me alone so I can go get lost and do whatever I want. Not a good way to get good grades. I started out with good intentions- really i did. I "get" the classes- but that doesn't mean I'm gonna get good grades.

maybe there is a better timeof the day for you to study, I am a nite person...not a morning person...I remember staying up late at a local dennys studying anatomy and physiology...it was very loud and forced me to concentrate.
I wish you better study times and c/s are fine.
remember that

You know, some days are better than others in the memory department for me. There are days when I can read and absorb things, then there are others when I just don't get it. Days when I can't seem to spell anything or remember anything, sometimes not remembering my name or can't recall my daughter's name. I think you just have to make sure you get enough sleep, are eating right, and do the best that you can studying a little bit each day so that you make sure you are covering all of your bases. I wish you well, it is quite an accomplishment going to school!

I'm having a bad day today, so that's part of it I guess. I was having an emotional day with my boyfriend. I don't even know if it was him or not. I felt like he didn't want me- even though he was being very loving and telling me very nicely that he loves me. I just had one of my "off" days. I also am having this thing where all of my itches- feels like inside and out. Plus it feels like like its little bugs on me?? I know that sounds weird, but I think i see them too. Like little scabs on me. But it feels like its in my nose, too. I took a shower and scrubbed and I feel better- mostly. I took benedryl a bit ago to see if that helps. I don't feel manic. I just feel "off". Didn't help that my BF told me his first wife's sister was psychotic and killed herself by walked into the Niagra river. They found her body in the whirlpool at the bottom of the falls.

Your not taking topamax are you?
These are symptoms related from others experiences that I recall.
I have heard it referred to dopamax.

I get these, too, actually, but I'm not on either of those meds. It might be more when I'm manic that my thoughts are unclear. I just know that sometimes its like my brain is a dry sponge pulling everything in and others its like a rubber blob making a puddle over the rest of my body.

Hey Bizi, just like Moose, I am not taking Topamax either. Although I have taken it before, I have been on everything out there...heavy sigh! Yes they do call it dopamax because I could barely speak on it... At this point, I'm only on Klonapin...and trying to get that switched because I take it for my seizures, as well as for anxiety but I think it is contributing to my anxiety and psychosis...

I have been weaning myself off of meds for a couple of years because I feel they were only contributing to my psychosis and because I was oversedated... Since weaning myself I have not been hospitalized as much and have almost no psychosis.... I take Klonopin for seizures... I want to get off Klonopin because I think that if I weren't taking it I would have no psychosis....IMHO... I am my own best test case... My BP was not under control on the meds, I was simply sedated and my out of control behavior was amplified... I still cycle rapidly and am BP... I am not recommending this for anyone else!

Hero...no just someone who realized that medication was not helping me and in fact was hurting me, with the help of my T... Especially after five seizures! I still suffer greatly from my illness, but at least I am not a zombie any longer and have stayed away from the hospitals!

mouse,

in a weird way i was so glad to read your post, not because of what's happening to you, but because i have been experiencing the same exact thing. some days are worse than others, but it's terrible, i am even questioning whether or not i may have some ADD issues! so frustrating! i hope you feel better soon.
