I can tell I'm starting to swing up. Last night I didn't sleep worth a darn and am quite irritable. Just the littlest thing sets me off. My mom commented on my hair yesterday and I about bit her head off. I had gotten my hair cut on Saturday and thought it is rather cute and she said oh I don't like it it is too short. Then proceeded to tell me how to color the grays in my hair after I had just done that the day before but I guess I had missed a few so had to come home and redo it. Still didn't get 'em all but I'm done messing with 'em.

I've also started to clean again and I know that means I'm starting to spiral up because I always start to get obsessively clean when I start the upward swing. I hope this time I don't stay manic too long because it just drains me.

Jan

For years I've thought I was the only one to clean when I'm manic. Good to know I'm not. I know what you mean about it being draining. Someone told me to take a multivitamins to help. Sometimes it works sometimes not.

I actually slept last night. Which is a good thing. Hope I do again tonight. Still irritable and cranky though. Still wanting to clean but nothing left to clean.

lol i clean too, but thats usually b/c i have an impulse to do a big project that requires me to do something actively physical, and my room def fits into that category- it can keep me busy for hours lol! in the past i've also shoveled out the whole driveway n parking area after a big snowstorm- and continued to do so even after everyone else tired out or froze up, and then proceeded to shovel out a patch of grass in the yard so my dogs can go potty because the snow was so high it came up to their necks. That, and i've turned an ancient basement workshop into a beautiful girly bedroom

I am frustrated now because whatever mojo I had going on is being mixed up with a depressed mode now. I HATE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooo very tired and yet can't sleep very much without the help of medication. Thank goodness I have phenergan and that helps somewhat to knock me out. It takes a bit longer than it used to though.

So whatever manic mode I was in seems to be leaving me.

I'm sorry Jan. I know how hard those times can be. Right now my anxiety is acting up. I feel paranoid about everything. My mania is trying to escalate. I've been getting about two hours of sleep the past three or four days. the house is spotless, so is the car, and the yard would be too. If my fiance didn't make me come in, he had to drag me in. Apparently a neighbor called and thought there was a prowler in the yard. oops feel better soon
