I literally just got diagnosed today, before I apparently had cyclothymic disorder but they believe i have now developed EUPD. I dont agreee with the diagnosis at all and neither does anyone who knows me or does it seems so far my sw to but she obviously cant say it directly.
So I dont know what support anyone can give. I have to see my psych again on the 21st of next month. (feb)

Ah, I take it you are in Europe (we don't know EUPD in U.S., unstable personality disorder, and the ICD-10); apparently it's a little different between Europe, China, and the U.S.

This sounds like a situation wherein it's best to interest yourself in what kinds of treatments are helping you, not so much in what the diagnosis is. I'm usually a firm believer in getting a solid dx before treatment, so that the treatment chosen is the most likely to be effective for the condition. Maybe this is a time for you and your SW to focus on your treatment and not your diagnosis? Also, if you are in a position to get a second opinion, I'd do it.

Yeah I'm in England. I just like this website
Apparently I have borderline type anyway which is what you would call BPD (we only just started calling it EUPD over here anyway)

However my psychiatrist made me look at his book which stated the symptoms and said thta to have borderline type you have to meet certian criteria for impulsive type. And me, my SW and my Psychiatrist agreed I dodnt meet any of the criteria for the first type so I dont know how he can diagnose me with borderline :/ Both my sw and her trainee were very confused but tried to get me to not think about it but tlak to him about it when I next see him.
It would really help if he understood english a bit better as I dont think he actually knew what I mean ta lot of the time even though really he shoudl becuase he is a doctor. He kept repeating what i was saying wrong, asking me to go slower and asking for the menaing of words i was using and how to pronounce things in his book :/ bit worrying. I dont mind foreign doctors in the slightest as most the doctors i have actually had especially psychiatrists are either chinese or indian, I'm not sure why. But they have all had a very good level of english. I guess everyone has to start somewhere I just wish I could be sure he understood me.
Thanks for the help though guys, I think Imight try and get a second opinion and I'm going to focus on my treatment and not my diagnosis for now like you suggested. I mean they apparnetly dont reccomend any drug therapy for EUPD in this country and yet I'm on 4 different types, which the same doctor has just increased to cope with my more dramatic mood swings.
