Do a lot of you have gender confusion with this uncertainty of self-image thing?
I've been so confused about my gender for years now. A lot of the time I feel like I should have been born a boy and that I'm in the wrong body, but then sometimes I feel like I was right to be born a girl.

I have had that from time to time, not like I was born in the wrong body or gender confusion, but when I look in a mirror it is totaly different from how I think I look, and there have been times I haven't even rocognized myself in the mirror, I know Im me but I don't look like me, idk it's been happening more and more lately too. Plus being legally blind doesn't help it just makes it more confusing

To be honest I've been confused ever since I can remember.
I got bullied at school when I started growing boobs and wasn't wearing a bra, but I didn't want to buy bras, it felt so un-natural. I did go and buy some though to shut the bullies up (at least about that subject, didn't stop them from bullying me about everything else) I already look quite masculine, but I suppose not enough. All my clothes are male, except bras. Sometimes I bind my chest though with a chest binder, or sometimes I wear a sports bra so my chest isn't so obvious, especially under a hoody, it makes me look flatter without actually flattening myself. My hair is short, but I was thinking of going shorter and going for something more modern/male. I can't do anything about it now though because I need my hair thick/long to dress up as Matt Smith Doctor Who for a convention.

Bullying is a big problem with people who have gender confusion - we all hear the stories. I'm really sorry you're having to go through this ![]() |

Thanks Kitten, you're right <3
I'm lesbian anyway, but I think I'm more manly because I feel like I should be a man and not just because I'm attracted to women. I've always been a tomboy. Only time I wore fancy dresses was when I was too young to dress/choose for myself, on my 16th birthday, prom, and 18th, and I hated it lol. I wish I wore a tuxedo.

Pride week? Maybe it's just pride week where you are or something. I'm in the UK.
I'm going to London Pride on the 7th July though!

It's pride week in the US - I didn't realize London had a different schedule. It turns out I'll be in the UK next week but I'm leaving before the weekend - too bad, it would be cool to hit 2 in the same year! Have fun and frolic with our people and see if you feel a little better.
