...when you think you should be put to death for things you've had to do to emotionally protect yourself because it made the person you are protecting your self from upset.

When I get sucked into the vortex of confusion and can't figure it all out.....

When nobody replies to a thread after you've posted on it, and you get really down cos you think that it's because of your post.

When you feel an emotion and then get angry at yourself because you think you shouldn't be allowed to feel it.

When you are in void space and make some drama with anyone to feel something

To add to that: And then you get mad at yourself for getting mad at yourself when you know you're not supposed to... And the cycle continues...

Ha I've been accused of doing this soooo many times.

ooo here's one from a long time ago...when a psychiatrist tells you your symptoms sound like bpd, you say you're done and walk out and never go back to him.

Or even better..."STAND BACK! Protected by BPD"

When you do your best to appear unapproachable in order to protect yourself but get upset that no one wants to get close to you.

When you actually have to ask yourself whether the other person really is being a jackhole, or if it's you being too sensitive.

You keep saying "I don't want any more drama!" and then create some anyway.

When you're having a great day and that little thing turns your world upside down

Wow, I usually post in the bipolar forum because that is my main diagnosis, but ever since I read about bpd I have been convinced that I got the description perfectly. Raging intense emotions, severe abandonment issues, anger and confusion when my husband tries to "leave me" (ie: leave for work or run an errand) especially when I'm not doing well, which is way too often.

Korana, what you said is how I feel so often I just had to comment.

I wonder if bipolar and bpd symptoms just overlap sometimes ... or if I might have both.

Oh my God!!!

When you want to tell everybody (even strangers) that they can go EFF themselves, and then minutes later being overwhelmed with compassion and love.. (or visa-versa)

Does anyone else get this?
One minute I want to punch people in the back of the head the next I look at them and wonder if they are sad or happy, feel compassion and my heart goes out to them.. ? ?

Showing my age, I suppose. Or your lack of knowledge in antiquated automobile theft protection. 'Viper' was the automated voice that was activated if someone came too close to a vehicle (or touched it for that matter) that was rigged up with this device i.e.
'STAND BACK!!! PROTECTED BY VIPER!!"

It was hokey and provided lots of laughs and comedy skits. Not sure how many, if any cars were protected from theft, however.
