I've noticed most of the posts, indeed, all of them almost on the first page are from new users. I'm just curious, what happened to all the "vets" ?

I just mean the veterans that used to post here quite regularly. I don't see a lot of them lately.

I'm still here! I lurk, sometimes I comment, mostly I .

I was actually just about to make a thread, so...I'm going to go do that.

A "veteran" (sp.) would be anyone who's been here more than a few months. I think you'd qualify. I think what S4 was trying to point out was that we've just gotten many, many new faces lately and that a lot of the people who've been here for a bit don't seem to be posting as much.

I have a post on the first page and I've been here since 2011.

I'm beginning to think that my posts don't count for much around here though.

Don't think too much about it or let it bother you. I haven't been posting nearly as much as I have in the past and it does seem a lot of the "old-timers" aren't visiting much right now. Things will turn around, just like our moods.

I doubt that you're talking about me, when you refer to the old-timers, but I'll leave my feedback anyway.

I've been in a rather rocky time lately and haven't being feeling strong enough to come online very regularly. When I do, I try to keep to those either very low on responses or to those posting something positive & I want to give positive feedback, to encourage others to post their positive times too!

That's me anyway.....

Sorry, it doesn't.

Someone could post a ton in a very short time and be a Poohbah (which I've seen a lot of). I am a Grand Member, but have been on this site for two years. So by either account, still a veteran, no?

Sorry, sweeping generalizations that tend to leave people out tend to bother me.

It wasn't really intended to be a generalization, but I guess it came out looking like "it shouldn't bother you" or "you're wrong in feeling that way". I apologize. I guess I had a poor choice of words. We, as BPDs tend to let things we have no control over get to us, me included. All I was attempting to say is that we cannot control how other people act or say towards us, but we can control how we react to them. That is something we ALL need to work on.

hello all sorry if I haven't been around. I've been busy with a lot of things. Thought I was doing okay but then again I was wrong.. Had a breakdown last Monday and collapse due to anxiety so I have time to chat here again since i'm on medical leave for 2 weeks.

But a veteran is when a poster reaches 300 posts in which you already have passed.

I think the question is, if someone posts a lot, and reaches "veteran" status in a week, do they count as veterans? Or do they have to be around for a while, regardless of how much they post?
That's just my view of the question.

Ah, I see, I don't think so, I think it just goes on the posts and it doesn't matter how long you're a member for

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
