I wish so many things.

So many wishes that I know will never come true.

They are never positive wishes.

I don't believe in positive anymore.

I don't believe in wishes either, but, it can't hurt to try!

Me too. I also believe in hope. Unless I'm dead, there's always hope. Even if it's a small amount of hope, it's still there.
Thanks for this!

Sorry to hear that secretwhisper, I know where you are coming from here. Just remember that in order to appreciate the light, one must spend time in darkness

Instead of wishing for things to be different, use the negativity as motivation to get positive things done for yourself so you can actually change them. Sadly wishes never come true, it only fills us with desire and makes us feel empty.

"To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffering." - Friedrich Nietzsche

Aw sending big 's

Try and look at what you do have, it's so simple to miss the little things we do have as well as the big things come to think of it!

Hope you're feeling better

I have so much good in my life and I just can't appreciate any of it at the moment! I just want to be normal....I want to feel well enough to enjoy and actually participate in life. I want to feel like I'm not constantly standing on the edge of crisis.... I want to stop just wanting to throw in the towel. I need to stop believing that giving up is a viable option. It's all too f**king hard right now!!

I know what you mean. In the midst of those moods even as rationally you can see that there is good in your life, it's as if there is a thick wall between you and actually experiencing those things you know are there.

I need something to keep me occupied.... I can see the housework that needs doing, yet no motivation to do it! My head is just finding its way to the negativity constantly and I have nothing I can distract it with

I also tend towards being a fairly unmotivated person, my brain is short on dopamine that's why I have an addictive personality and can get addicted to things that others don't. Best way to regain motivation is increase dopamine levels in your brain. You can do this without stimulants by eating a balanced diet rich with protein and exercising in the morning. The amino acid tyrosine can be found in peanuts, almonds, avocados, milk, cheese, yogurt, bananas, sesame seeds and soy products. Optimistically you'd exercise for 15-20 minutes so you'll want to start this off by doing a warm up routine, then stretching, some body only workouts and stretching when you are done. Hope you feel better

I do walk to and from work pretty quickly which takes 15-20mins but thats only Monday - Friday. Does that count? Not one for exercise tbh lol And the only things I like in that list are cheese, bananas and yoghurts probably should eat bananas more often than about once a month though

Thanks for the tips though. I know I should be healthier, but that in itself is lack of motivation too!

That's fine those three are my favorites to, walking is really good for you to, at least your heart health. I recommend also doing something to get moving on the weekends to keep the cycle going. Yes you should be eating bananas more than once a month more like once a day, bananas are a rich source of potassium as well which is crucial for health. We should be eating more potassium than sodium but many people do the opposite and as a result many of us suffer from high blood pressure and heart disease. Our diets and physical health are very important factors for our mental health, often they go hand in hand. That's why so many people with injuries or chronic disease wind up depressed after a certain amount of time because they activities are limited.

The amino acid tyrosine is the precursor to dopamine, exercise increases the amount of endorphins which are a natural pain relief. Bananas are also very good for our gastrointestinal tract, I could go on and on but diet is crucial. My diet isn't perfect either but I've been slowly adjusting to eating more healthy foods even when I don't want to. Like in the mornings I really don't want to exercise, but I find that if I do it anyways the rest of my day goes much better. I have more focus and motivation to face the day, plus less aches and pains to complain about.

Thanks I will definitely make more effort to do this then! People at work will probably die of shock if I eat a banana every day at lunch

That's good I some bananas. Even after eating them every day I don't get sick of them, but I also look at them as a medicine since my blood work came back and my doctor told me to eat more bananas.

That's funny secret, bananas are really good for us, apples are good to, but personally I prefer pears over apples.

allme allergies are not fun, I used to suffer really bad from allergies as a kid, I was on prescription allergy medication for years.
