Just what I feel right now. Trying to gain weight, but feel nauseated when I eat. Have back pain severe enough to try narcotics, but I'm having too many side-effects to stay on them. Depression is so bad that I wish I didn't wake up in the mornings. Wondering if the codeine is making it worse? Any ideas? I have lots of medical support, but I still find it so hard to go on. I am so tired of the effort to appear "normal". Maybe I don't. Maybe people see a lot more than I think they do. However, I am so tired of fighting the demons.

Sorry you're in so much pain Be careful with the codeine...as you probably already know, they are addictive. I went through an addiction with them for a while.

Are you in any kind of therapy for pain management? If not, it may be a good idea for you.

My hubby had a very bad accident years ago and as a result is in pain every day and struggles to do certain things. He is on pain relief but they are highly addictive so he limits what he takes. I see his pain and it kills me.

Sending you hugs

I do believe codeine is a depressant. I don't take it myself because I will get more depressed. But ask the doc cuz I'm no expert. But sometimes you need the pain relief, huh? Its a fine line to walk. You're gonna make it! ((((Jean17)))))
